Anyone tried it? I have the menu but really don’t know what the food is like.
Biggest question is the pastrami. Most pastrami in delis isn’t very good anymore (see the essex thread) because they use prepackaged stuff. That’s why whenever I want pastrami, I get an entire piece of homemade pastrami from one the big kosher supermarkets and cook at home.
It’s probably not so easy to smoke your own meat in NYC because you’d be right next to someone else who’d complain. But if someone from Lakewood can do it, it could be the perfect deli.
