It was already motzei Shabbat at that point.

DY, what do you mean by muktzeh? If it was Shabbat then I wouldn’t be able to use take out the tissue? Or I wouldn’t be able to wear my jacket because I’d be carrying something?

If it was Shabbos [use them interchangeably] and I was in an eruv, would I have been permitted to use the old tissue? To wear the coat?

    Thank you

LB: “It had a dirty tissue in the pocket! And I needed it, so I used it again.”

    DY:”That is why I don’t think they’re muktzeh.”

That’s a good point. Thanks! But what if the tissues have already been used 10 times?

Does 10 times change the status of an object?

LU was worried that carrying around her bag of tissues was a problem because the tissues are muktzeh and therefore the bag as well (bosis).

But what if the tissues have already been used 10 times?

At the point where all of the tissues are shredded being any possibility of further use even an emergency, if there are no other tissues in the bag, you might want to go to the nearest trash can (although we could still find you a heter).

    1. What about a case where someone is crying and out of tissues?

    2. Can the person get toilet paper from the restroom and use it to wipe his/her face in the prayer room?

    3. What about paper towels?

    4. Or is it better to just leave davening early to avoid the mess?
