Why are some people commenting on threads and conversations that took place a year or two ago?
a) Not everybody can think that fast
b) Somebody just happened to chance by a “good” one. (or two) (or three)..(or fifty)
c) Someone new who missed those good ones trying to have the same fun as those who (lived it through)
d) < left unintentionally blank >

As a WIY, you should know. No, I’m not the same. Why should I plagiarize someone else’s when I could plagiarize my own.

April 13, 2015 5:48 am at 5:48 am #1215847DikDukDuckParticipantSome forums enforce a rule against thread bumping, but evidently the coffee room doesn’t.
Also old stuff can stay relevant forever. Old threads = tradition.
April 13, 2015 8:38 am at 8:38 am #1215848doleofyouParticipantSometimes you chance upon a good thread which is either relevant to an ongoing discussion, or happens to be an interesting topic. Yesterday, I bumped a thread to make a joke about the subject line, not really relevant to the thread at all. Meanwhile, nobody got the joke and everybody’s busy debating the original topic. Oh well…
April 13, 2015 10:56 am at 10:56 am #1215850sushibagelMemberIt’s called prioritising
April 13, 2015 2:16 pm at 2:16 pm #1215851Yayin Yashan B’Kli ChadashParticipantIts actually in the cr rule thread stickied on top; that you should check if there is an existing thread in the subject before starting a new one. So your question is really who listens to tiles. To that, I have no answer.
April 13, 2015 2:55 pm at 2:55 pm #1215852WiseyParticipantSometimes I get bored of the current threads or I have nothing to say on the topic so I dig up something else.
April 13, 2015 4:32 pm at 4:32 pm #1215853👑RebYidd23ParticipantI don’t know anyone who listens to tiles.
April 13, 2015 4:50 pm at 4:50 pm #1215854Yayin Yashan B’Kli ChadashParticipantNeither do I, that’s what I wrote. 🙂 I tried to write rules, but my keyboard knew better. Sorry.
April 13, 2015 6:29 pm at 6:29 pm #1215855screwdriverdelightParticipantMy, my, how’d you fish this one out.
I was actually trying to figure out what you meant by this:
http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/nope-not-going-to-start-it-this-year
and everybody’s busy debating the original topic
History repeats itself.
Its actually in the cr rule thread stickied on top; that you should check if there is an existing thread in the subject before starting a new one
The exact phrasing of the tile is, Before starting a new topic do a quick check to see if the topic exists So only things which come up quickly are included.
April 13, 2015 7:22 pm at 7:22 pm #1215856Little FroggieParticipantAs I wrote (will not attempt the unreadable) I want my teeth firmly IN my mouth… (ever saw a frogless tooth?) But hey.. if someone else starts.. they can’t blame me for letting loose..
April 13, 2015 7:31 pm at 7:31 pm #1215857👑RebYidd23ParticipantAnything relevant will come up quickly.
April 15, 2016 7:52 pm at 7:52 pm #1215858screwdriverdelightParticipantTrue, if you use the google search–not if you use the search in the top right corner.
April 15, 2016 8:04 pm at 8:04 pm #1215859JosephParticipantIt took you over a year to realize that?
April 15, 2016 9:11 pm at 9:11 pm #1215860Little FroggieParticipantWow!!! I can’t believe how silly I once was… (and still am)
Were those really mine?!?
February 13, 2017 5:15 am at 5:15 am #1215861LightbriteParticipant3yo thread
Little Froggie you predicted my future with this thread. Are you the frum miss cleo?
February 13, 2017 5:17 am at 5:17 am #1215862LightbriteParticipantD) Because those threads didn’t actually exist years ago.
Someone time-traveled backwards and made a butterfly fly to get the OP to post the post and then returned to respond. It was really only a few seconds later but with the jetlag it seems longer.
