Health: some more examples of my friends’ mesiras nefesh/non-materialism: never buying clothes anywhere but Deja New, kids either wear hand-me-downs or clothes from Deja New, never ever going out to eat even for a bagel or picking up an iced coffee, dinner every night is either pasta or tuna patties that you have to say “ha’adama” on because they contain way more potatoes than tuna (I’m not exaggerating. They do have fleishiks one night a week, but it’s usually hot dogs), rarely buying a new sheitel and when she does, she gets a second-hand one for really cheap.

LU -“I will just say that it was several years, and it was long enough to meet and get to know many people. Since I’m a single girl, I spent a lot of time in people’s houses and really getting to know them.

The people that I know in Lakewood are incredibly non-materialistic in addition to being very hard-working!!!!”

My point wasn’t that there isn’t anyone, but that’s the Miyut ShebMiyut! Btw, I’ve been here longer than a few years!

Health, it’s not a question of how many years anyone has been there. There are thousands of people in Lakewood, and neither you nor I know all of them or even most of them, hence, your statement is ridiculous in addition to being completely assur. I know tons of people in Lakewood and nearly all, if not all, are the way I described. You obviously choose to know different people. Your loss. But don’t judge and label and malign the city based on your perceptions and choices.

The only thing that’s Osser is your portrayal of me! Since I’ve been here a long time, I’m able to relay the truth!

Your assumption that you have to know them personally is ridiculous!

I know where they shop and the prices in these stores. Speaking the truth about a town is not maligning it!

Stop living in your dream world! Unless you’re doing this on purpose to manipulate those that don’t live here!
