A company gets one computer to replace five secretaries. Then it needs ten people to service it and get it programmed. What’s the great idea?
This way more secretaries get hired by the programmers and servicemen.
For the Coffee Room, why else?
Computers have caused a lot of problems in the world. I don’t think this is one of them.
Unless it’s a government office that needs to get rid of some excess $$$$
I bet secretaries could do stochastic derivative pricing and calculate eigenvectors, if we’d only let them.
