    just joking my brother was once collecting for mir yeshiva (back in the day) and someone asked him who r u collecting for and he said mir. so they asked him for yourself and hes like no for mir yeshiva.

    Seems to me that the mitzvah of matanos lievyonim has been corrupted. Seems that the ikkar to some has become the collecting and not the giving. Better question to ask is, how will you be mikayem the mitzvah of matanos lievyonim on purim?
