You know the really beautiful song that Shwekey sang a few years back (I think in Caesaria) in both the Yiddish and English (and I think Hebrew version)
Im pretty sure the original is written by abie rotenberg, its on one of the dveykus CDs.
but the original is a all yiddish and with many different words.
I believe it was Abie Rottenberg from Dveykus. He was a high-School Rebbie of mine.
In A’Vinkeleh from Dveykus 2 was composed by Shweky’s Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Davidowitz the Rosh Yeshiva in Rochester. I think the lyrics of the original song and Shweky’s version are both by Abie Rotenberg
