Inspired by recent events (in which Geordie613 and I discovered each other and made contact):
If you could choose any posters on the CR to discover their true identity and get to see them in Real Life – who would it be? There are some posters who I am desperate to see what they are really like.

Besides the links bring broken (messing up pages), as seen above, the page count, page numbers, link to last post and last poster are all messed up with them being inaccurate with the number count and not always properly linking to the last page when clicking the last comment link.

Which ones? Who would you want to meet?
I often think that it would be cool to meet the other posters, and I’m always sort of hoping that I will, but at the same time, I am worried that it would be a big disappointment and ruin the way I relate to them. I think that there’s a good chance that many people would seem very different in real life, and when that happens, it makes it hard to relate to people the same way.
Oh, how could I forget about the heilige RebShidduch? And I really want to meet Johnny Appleseed too!! I wonder how she is – we haven’t heard from her in a while.I hope she’s ok. If you’re reading this JA, let me know how you are! I worry about you.
And of course I’d also want to meet Shopping.
Rebshidduch, I wrote my post before yours was moderated (although I could see that you posted). I didn’t think of you at first because you haven’t posted recently (at least not that I saw), but as soon as I saw your name, I realized that you should have been first on my list.
How are you? What’s up? Are you still going out with the Yeshiva Bochur? Are you going to EY this coming year? You don’t have to answer if you think it’s TMI – I really just want to know how you are are doing.
How come no one wants to meet the mods?
lightbrite is so sweet. And Oomis seems so nice. I hurt coffee addict’s feelings once, so I’d like to apologize to her.
There are other interesting posters, but they’re men, so it wouldn’t be appropriate for me to want to meet them.
If you meet a mod in real life do they get to mod you in real life?
i want to meet the mods who are amazing non-human angels that work 24/7 & are always doing an amazing job making sure each post is kosher with a good hechshar & no secret information.
i would also love to meet our updated Shver (father-in-law) to make a lchaim face to face with him & to thank him on behalf of everyone in the coffeeroom for all the advice he gives us from his law firm experience. all with a smile at no charge. by now most lawyers would be the YWN coffeeroom a $5,000,000 lawyer bill

There are many others it would probably be pleasant to meet,

I think I’d be uncomfortable shouting “Yekke” at the Kosel in the men’s section. Maybe you can wear a Yarmulka that says Yekke on it or something – Oh, I forgot, you don’t want to meet me anyhow cause I’m WYSIWYG… skip that.
Sorry I’m late to this discussion which involves me. Yes, it was nice to discover Yekke2 and that our families have old old connections.
I’d love to meet many people here. I think I’d enjoy a long shmooze with CTLawyer about his experiences in the 60s and 70s. I’d like to see what Joseph is really like. And I think I’ve met Rabbi of Crawley but haven’t positively identified him except by process of elimination.Off the top of my head, I’d love to meet:

The Chasson is from SA. I give no further hints to protect his family’s privacy. You would have had a wonderful time with us.There are many here I’d like to meet of all ages and customs

If I’d give a list of those whom I’ve met, I’d probably get banned for giving away too much. I’ve said enough about myself over the years (passed my 10th CR anniversary last December!), that just saying who I’ve met could risk exposing some of the most famous names in this vaunted location!
