    So what do all the Kunda fans on this site think of the new When Zaidy Was Young? Do you think it lives up to the Kunda name? I think it was actually pretty solid overall. Not Shmuel Kunda himself of course, but a close second. Good impersonations, story, dialogues, songs, music. Do you think there’s a future for this franchise and the Kunda brand in general? Would love to hear opinions.

    It was very good. I recommend it, but no one should expect it to be the same as the originals, because Rabbi Kunda a”h was one of a kind.

    I don’t think there will be any more, because I don’t think there are any more unpublished stories from Rabbi Kunda.

    Yeah but I hear he left behind ideas for different projects that his kids might develop into future productions, keeping with his style.

    Yes, an absolute creative genius – artist, comedian, songwriter (music and lyrics), storyteller, impersonator, and an extremely warm, charismatic, and friendly person as well.

    Sorry I wasn’t clear. That’s me.

    I wrote that it got me thinking… to continue in his footsteps and produce tapes on his “mehalech”, (fashion, method, style, mode, technique, design). Maybe, just maybe… y’know everyone started out…

    Looks like we got some great commentators here who have what to say, but let’s here some more opinions on Zaidy 3! Btw I just chapped that it was made by the same guy (Shimmy Stauber) who made the awesome Nachman Seltzer tape. The dude is pretty awesome. I hope he continues to put out good stuff!
