Wll clinton face criminal charges like any other america?
August 26, 2016 8:24 pm at 8:24 pm #1175116akupermaParticipantProbably. Or Trump might decide to pardon her, and perhaps initiate a mass pardon of everyone who has been prosecuted for political reasons. Since Trump has no record in public office, what he does would be unpredictable.

how many prisoners has obama freed illegaly recently? (before its too late & his time is up) how many has hillary freed ilegally? more then you know & all freed behind the media scenes.
August 26, 2016 9:04 pm at 9:04 pm #1175121akupermaParticipantThe president can pardon anyone for anything except Treason. New leaders traditionally, but not in the US, start off be giving mass pardons or amnesties in order to win over those who were upset with the previous regime. Given that the US has a high percentage of people in prison than almost any other country, that might be something he’ll consider.
Note that accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt, meaning it is political suicide to accept a pardon.
August 26, 2016 9:12 pm at 9:12 pm #1175122WolfishMusingsParticipantcan a president go against law and just padron criminals?
The power of pardon for federal crimes is within the President’s power, completely at his/her discretion and is not subject to review. In other words, if the President pardons anyone of a federal crime, it is not against the law.

August 26, 2016 9:23 pm at 9:23 pm #1175124SparklyMemberabsan – trump is awesome! im jewish!
Happygirlygirl – i am a democrat. voted for sanders because i wanted him to go up against trump and trump would have a MUCH easier time winning since everyone hates sanders including me. if i were a republican the first time i would have voted for cruz or trump. there both awesome.
August 26, 2016 9:28 pm at 9:28 pm #1175125โ๏ธcoffee addictParticipantHappygirlygirl,
President shouldn’t be the only reason to vote
If you don’t want to vote for president you can still vote for all the other elections that will be happening then
Additionally you can write in a name of someone that you think should be president (sparkly, absan, coffee addict;))
August 26, 2016 9:31 pm at 9:31 pm #1175126SparklyMembercoffee addict – haha. its true tho. maybe ill become a lawyer and then a judge and then senator and so on and work myself up to being the first religious jewish women president!!
August 26, 2016 9:48 pm at 9:48 pm #1175127WolfishMusingsParticipanti decided between the two choices I ain’t registering
Register.
Even if you hate both candidates running for President, there are state and local races that have to be decided and, in the long run, it’s far more important to vote in these races than in the Presidential election.
No one notices at the national level if Orthodox Jews vote, but politicians at the state and local level *do* take note of it.
So register, simply don’t choose a candidate for President (leave it blank, write in Mickey Mouse or your own name) and vote for the state and local races.

Whatever. Like I said, the Presidential election is pretty much a foregone conclusion (unless you live in a swing state). So vote for Johnson, vote for yourself, whatever… but make sure that you *do* vote in state and local elections. *That’s* far more important.

Well at least confirms that I’m not the youngest of the CR family, I always though I was. I guess that position goes to you. I’ll have to suffice being just the president of SUC.

August 28, 2016 3:50 am at 3:50 am #1175141absanParticipantas I said before . I would rather take the risks of Trump then the facts of clinton. The true Trump is, as we see a success A multi billionare .The crazy Trump is what social media makes him be. As president hopefully the true Trump will shine. As for foreign policy he can’t be wourse then obama.
August 28, 2016 4:47 am at 4:47 am #1175142SparklyMemberabsan – go trump:) i will be voting for him h’h. cant wait.
August 28, 2016 6:42 am at 6:42 am #1175143Sam2ParticipantShopping: It’s easy to vote from overseas. File for an absentee ballot. They’ll mail it to you and you can vote like any other citizen.
August 29, 2016 1:57 am at 1:57 am #1175144absanParticipantTrump warns to be careful with the voting. He obviously meant cheating with votes . What exactly does he mean with that? Can you realy oversmart the votes by some kind of way, then whats the worth of voting? I always find what he says if I like it or not it’s always true. It’s kind of scary.

Considering that the president has the power to pardon federal crimes, why do you think his releasing of federal prisoners is illegal?

August 31, 2016 1:03 pm at 1:03 pm #1175157charliehallParticipantThe President has unlimited power to pardon or to grant clemency, even for the most serious crimes, so Obama has acted legally. And he acted fairly because he is granting clemency for people convicted of crimes for which the penalty is now much less severe.
Clinton has committed no crime so she will not be tried.
Trump operated an illegal fraudulent university and is facing three trials for fraud and racketeering. He probably can’t be tried criminally because of the statute of limitations. He would be facing two additional trials but he bribed two state Attorneys General with campaign contributions when they dropped investigations into his practices. People claim Clinton is a crook but it is actually Trump who knowingly broke the law.
August 31, 2016 6:50 pm at 6:50 pm #1175158hujuParticipantTo Happygirlygirl: So you like Trump as a TV host? What, if anything, does that have to do with being president of the US? Bob Barker was a good TV host, but I would not consider him for president. (Have you, Happygirlygirl, ever heard of Bob Barker? Not that there’s anything wrong if you have not.)
And while you’re at it, try a little punctuation when you write. Hashem did not use punctuation in the Torah, but the rest of us ought to in our daily written lives.
