Ever wish the floor could open up and swallow you?
Examples:
You’re talking to a colored giyores and you slip with the word “shvartza”.(they detest that word)
You get the hiccups at an important interview/meeting.
You think the phone is on the hook,and continue a personal conversation…suddenly hearing a muffled “Hello?….heLLOOO?”
I once started to hiccup and then laugh in shul during the amidah on Yom Kippur. I was a about 10-11 years old and MORTIFIED that I could not stop hiccuping or laughing. Neither could I get out of the row, and leave the room, as everyone was davening. That, and not the bombing of Pearl Harbor, is the Day that Will Go Down in Infamy. At least in my family.
As soon as you start wishing the floor would eat you up, you must realize that to anyone who can see you, you’re actually turning bright shades and hues of orange, blush, and fire engine red by that point!
i thought i was on the phone with my friend and said some nasty things abt his parents and i found out that i was talking to his mother
OMG Oomis- we must be related. Sometimes I start laughing and it’s impossible to stop.
Now back on topic…!
Oh no, life’s most embarrassing moments revisited.
*When I’m at a interview and burst out laughing for no good reason, but just can’t stop.
*When I thought I hung up the phone after talking to my principal and then I screamed ahhhhhhhhh! to my mother that she’s so mean…… and then I heard my principal cleared her throat and said ahem.
*When I was in gym class and my gym teacher told all the girls in class that finally I’m playing the game normally today for a change.
Arggg!! It’s no fun remembering these stories!! 🙂

sometimes when im so stressed out i wish i could dig a whole and hide in it, but obviously that wont solve any of my problems, instead i decided to take a 2 week vacation, and i have no intention of working while im gone, or taking calls that are related to business…

Didn’t know you’re doing Israel also! Man, I’m jealous!!
Dont be jealous, just plan a vacation…we r stopping in geneva on the way to london, then taking the eurostar to paris….from there we r stopping over in zurich for a few hours before flying off to israel….all within two weeks and both shabbasim will be in israel..cant wait. Btw studies have shown that money spent on experiences rather than objects are more enjoyable.

If I could I would. But between work and school it doesn’t seem feasible at the moment. Sounds like you’ll be having a blast so keep me in mind 🙂 Maybe I’ll start planning a summer vacation now…
I just graduated, and waiting for my diploma so I can apply for the CPA exam….I have major deadlines at work….pressure, stress u name it, and im just getting away from it all!!!
last year was winter in israel, pesach in florida, summer…chicago and belgium ….i love love love to travel!!!

No way! I love to travel too! We really should become real life friends! Maybe I’ll go to Florida for a weekend for a mini vacation. I’m thinking of Pesach in Israel but my family would never agree to come along. So unless I find someone to go with that’s not gonna happen either 🙁
BTW, if you have deadlines at work how can you just leave??
i stayed at work a little later tonight, going in early tomorrow and gonna stay till i finish all the payroll taxes, w2, w3, 1099s and 1096s….and clean my desk :))….never a dull moment!!
