Thank you everyone for getting me in the mood for pizza now… (too bad I’ll have to stick with frozen at this hour)
But best pizza IMO is Pizza Nosh. Second is Rami’s.
March 3, 2009 3:11 am at 3:11 am #666705mazal77ParticipantBeacon – never heard of Rami’s, where are they located??
March 3, 2009 3:13 am at 3:13 am #666706asdfghjklParticipantbeacon: yeah where i Rami’s?????

March 3, 2009 4:53 pm at 4:53 pm #666709squeakParticipantThere is such a thing as Sephardic pizza? Wow, you made my day. I have said that pizza is too sugary for me for a long time. I used to schlep to 5 towns to get from Pizza Professor because they have spicy sauce option.
Not everything Sefardic is less sweet – for example, Challah. I can’t stand sweet challah.
March 3, 2009 5:36 pm at 5:36 pm #666710squeakParticipantHmm, you’re right, of course. I just got mixed up.
March 3, 2009 5:47 pm at 5:47 pm #666711Feif UnParticipantOlympic Pita has fantastic lafa, but their shawarma isn’t the best.
I like the shawarma at Famous Pita, and you also get free unlimited falafel balls there. Shawarma King in BP also has fantastic shawarma.
March 3, 2009 6:23 pm at 6:23 pm #666712smartcookieMembertheres this restaurant in manhattan- La Carni- great!!! Steakhouse. Food is absolutely delicious. Not too cheap though.

April 29, 2009 3:48 pm at 3:48 pm #666729blubluhParticipantI enjoy the Jerusalem Restaurant on Rt 10 in Livingston, NJ (cafeteria-style, no table service). With their “combination” platters, one could go there dozens of times and not have the same thing twice! I think their product is very good.
April 30, 2009 3:01 pm at 3:01 pm #666730areivimzehlazehParticipantspeaking of Teveria and milchig- “C Cafe” has pretty good food too. It’s mostly like a Cafe K (in Brooklyn & Manhattan)

November 6, 2009 4:27 am at 4:27 am #666733mazal77ParticipantIn the Empire State building on the 1st floor is Rosa’s Pizza and Pasta. It was originally not kosher, but recently it became kosher(under the OU). I have eaten here about 3 times and can’t wait to go back. The pizza is amazing and they have nice variety to choose from. They also have Pasta, Salads, & Sushi, but I haven’t tried those items. Prices are average.
November 6, 2009 6:19 am at 6:19 am #666734mazcaMemberYum, Yum I can’t hardly wait to go to the Empire State building Rosa’s Pizza maybe I should visit NY just for that this December vacations.
November 6, 2009 1:17 pm at 1:17 pm #666736pgMemberIn Manhattan my favorite place for a quite bite to eat is Avi and David’s on 3rd Avenue between 61st and 62nd. It’s milchig cholev Yisroel, open 24 hours and very clean. They have a hot protein sandwich which has a soy/chicken cutlet, a fried egg-white omlet w/vegtables, hummus on toasted bread of your choice. Excellet, fast, it’s a pleasant place to rest and rejuvinate while in the city.
November 6, 2009 2:02 pm at 2:02 pm #666737mybatMemberI don’t know if anyones from LA, but they have a great gourmet restaurant right next to Camarillo outlet, its in the Baron Herzog factory, I thing its called Tierra Sur.
