I’ve been reading some of the posts here, and most of them are bringing in hostility and arguments. I just wanted to post something on a lighter note that I hope you would enjoy. There’s no wrong answer here 🙂 it’s all about your tastes and opinions.
In Lakewood we have tons of restaurants it’s so hard to decide where to go sometimes. I have to say that Glatt Gourmet is my favorite. The food is so good, i eat the cold leftovers from the fridge the next day 🙂 and the portions are very generous.
I just wish we had a chinese restaurant here…
That’s just my opinion, but what about you? what’s your favorite restaurant in your town?
July 8, 2008 2:32 pm at 2:32 pm #666591JosephParticipantMine is home sweet home.
How does your home compare to ANY restaurant?
July 8, 2008 6:23 pm at 6:23 pm #666592sagerebbeMemberFish Grill in LA is unbelievable! The food is very very fresh, they give a huge portion for a low price, the service is good and fast, its healthy, and no restaurant anywhere else can even run circles around it! its worth a trip to LA!!
July 8, 2008 7:51 pm at 7:51 pm #666593jphoneMemberMine is “Bubbys”, in Forest Hills (NY). Nothing like it. Service is great, portions are huge, no reservation is ever needed, the food is delicious and the price just can’t be beat.
I’m sure everyone feels the same about their own Bubbys cooking.

July 8, 2008 10:12 pm at 10:12 pm #666596williMemberevery restaurant has different things that I like, so when I’m in the mood of pizza I go to one, & for a slice of potato kugel I’d go to another, ( & when I want a better price in a 3rd, etc. ) but in general, Cafe W (Itzu’s) on Lee Ave, Williamsburg has very good (milchige) food.
July 8, 2008 11:18 pm at 11:18 pm #666597mdlevineMemberPitaLand on College road in Monsey. The best whole wheat pizza there is.
July 9, 2008 7:14 am at 7:14 am #666598KlerrMemberThe Koisel has a number of gishmake minyanim with kiddush every shabbos morning.
The noshim that some of the readers do not wish to see, are not allowed in these minyanim. The food is free and the herring is excellent. The bonus is: The aibeshter is nearby to hear our Brochois AND tFILOIS

July 22, 2008 3:37 pm at 3:37 pm #666602mdlevineMemberreemasheen – put down your fork (or chopstix) and call them and ask them who provides the kosher supervision. than call the agency and ask them if they still provide supervision. if they do and it is a source that you trust, put your meal in the microwave and resume eating when hot.
asking a bunch of mostly unnamed posters to provide you with reliable information re: is it kosher, is this hechsher good, etc. is not going to necessarily give you accurate information. example: someone from the restaurant or from the agency or someone living in Brazil with no clue can tell you that it is good. if the question is strictly on the hechsher, ask your Rav.

July 24, 2008 3:42 am at 3:42 am #666608whatshaichesMemberSushi Metsuyan is the best place (atleast in Ceaderhurst). The sushi is fantastic and always fresh. The menu is packed with different types of sushi. This is besides for the great appetizer and mains that they carry. I recommend this place highly to anyone that is looking for a place in Ceaderhurst to go out to.
