I miss Frusen Gladje ice cream. Cant find it anywhere. Was pretty popular in the 80s, and I havent seen it anywhere in almost 20 years.
August 3, 2010 8:02 pm at 8:02 pm #1194429blinkyParticipantHow could this thread go by 20 hours with no input??????? This is an extremely important, life threatening thread!!!!!!!(kidding) Im just in the mood of a nice ice cream now…. 🙂
EDITED (I removed one question mark from the first line, no need to overreact!!!)
August 3, 2010 8:18 pm at 8:18 pm #1194430smartcookieMemberMod, thanks for the laugh!
And yes, ice cream wouldn’t be too bad now…
August 3, 2010 8:19 pm at 8:19 pm #1194431bbygParticipantrocky road, cookies & cream, chocolate fudge! THEY ROCK!!!!!!!!!
August 3, 2010 8:21 pm at 8:21 pm #1194432kapustaParticipantblinky, agreed. I think there needs to be free ice cream for people who post more than a certain amount of times (and show their devotion to ice cream).
August 3, 2010 8:42 pm at 8:42 pm #1194433blinkyParticipantKapusta-yup count me in. Whose gonna sponsor it? Mod 80 how about you?

OMG I feel so honored! (Shall I bother asking if this has anything to do with my former queen status?)
And I chose the first one cuz it looked much more exciting. It was delish!! Thanks!
Now how about some of the real thing?
August 4, 2010 5:07 pm at 5:07 pm #1194441blinkyParticipantAfter I passed my driving test (thanks to you guys-check the driving tips thread :)), a family member went to the ice cream store and ordered an ice cream and strawberry sorbet car! It was so cooool! (excuse the pun) It looked real to the last detail-tires, windsheild wiper….I thought it was a very cute idea.
August 4, 2010 6:33 pm at 6:33 pm #1194442amichaiParticipantchocolate mint chip. yummy! i have a neighbor that prepares homemade parve ice cream. the favorite in the neighborhood is peanut butter and jelly. not joking!
August 4, 2010 6:38 pm at 6:38 pm #1194443YW Moderator-80Memberi believe we have a winner chocolate mint chip. i think it was mentioned thrice at least.
as far as the worst flavor i dont think anyone can compete with dead skunk delight.
August 4, 2010 6:40 pm at 6:40 pm #1194444blinkyParticipantmod-have you ever tasted dead skunk delight to say that for sure its the worst flavor?
August 5, 2010 12:11 am at 12:11 am #1194445Sister BearMemberdead skunk delight – that’s like an oxymoron! Just the sound of it makes me disgusted.
Is it an American thing to have ice cream?
August 5, 2010 12:15 am at 12:15 am #1194447YW Moderator-42ModeratorI agree, Mint Chocolate Chip!
August 5, 2010 6:12 am at 6:12 am #1194448charliehallParticipantI also vote for Mint Chololate Chip! But Vanilla is a close second.
Chazal said, “There is no simchah without ice cream.”
Oh, correct that. Chazal did not say that. Ice cream had not been invented yet. (There are, however, records of it being eaten in Gaonic times.) Had Chazal known about ice cream they would have mandated that it be served every Shabat and Yom Tov.
August 5, 2010 3:06 pm at 3:06 pm #1194449blinkyParticipantWell for all those who think that chocalate mint chip is the most popular you are mistaken (unless mr. 80 changes back to his original choice than it will be a tie).
Vanilla-5
Chcolate mint chip-4
pistachio-3
cookie dough-3
cookies and cream-3
coffee-2
To all the other ones-sorry But I only put up those that are 2 or more. (you can correct me if i am wrong)

August 5, 2010 5:04 pm at 5:04 pm #1194451YW Moderator-80Membermerriam-webster 2nd definition of vanilla:
2. lacking distinction, plain, ordinary.
August 5, 2010 5:08 pm at 5:08 pm #1194452blinkyParticipantWell I chose vanilla, wow the dictionary really knows me 😉
I don’t have a dictionary but mint is green and choc. chips are dark- so am i safe to assume that choc. mint chip eaters are green with black dots on their faces?
August 5, 2010 5:12 pm at 5:12 pm #1194453agentParticipantI actually do not like vanilla sorry Mod…….I like choc mint chip the best!!
EDITED in a most flagrantly biased way
August 5, 2010 5:17 pm at 5:17 pm #1194454blinkyParticipantYup agent i happen to know who you are and that description fits you perfectly!!
August 5, 2010 5:26 pm at 5:26 pm #1194455YW Moderator-80Memberokay

August 5, 2010 5:35 pm at 5:35 pm #1194456squeakParticipantNice of you to own up. After all, emes is emes
August 5, 2010 6:28 pm at 6:28 pm #1194457blinkyParticipant“Yup agent i happen to know who you are and that description fits you perfectly!!” Sorry i take that back (being that agent does not like choc. mint chip)
Agent is really very special, and not at all ordinary even though vanilla was the choice. Sorry 80, the description does not work for everyone…
August 5, 2010 6:37 pm at 6:37 pm #1194458YW Moderator-80Memberthat definition refers to anything that is bland. it is derived from the nature of the flavor. it is not related (necessarily) to those that like bland flavors.
ex. the word spicy can refer to a flavor, or to other things that share the characteristics of that flavor (in a mushul way). it does not mean that people who like spicy foods are “spicy”.
bland people can like spicy foods.
and spicy people can like vanilla
August 5, 2010 6:48 pm at 6:48 pm #1194459blinkyParticipantOkay you win…..But not on the most favorite flavors-thats still vanilla!!!!!!!!!! (I counted the ! exact so ill know if you took one off;))
August 5, 2010 7:09 pm at 7:09 pm #1194460tomim tihyeMemberMr. 80, that’s an interesting concept you brought up: do taste preferences correlate to personality?
August 10, 2010 5:57 pm at 5:57 pm #1194461emoticon613Memberstrawberry. pralines and cream. i forgot what it’s called but it’s vanilla and chocolate with “carmel ribbon” – baskin robbins (been c”y for about 5/6 years so i’ve forgotten what the special flvaors are called. pumkin pie. watermelon sorbet with those little black candy seeds yum!! pretty much in that order but i miss baskin robbins!!!!!!!!!
August 31, 2010 11:49 pm at 11:49 pm #1194462emoticon613Memberit’s called gold medal ribbon btw – i remembered while i was describing it to someone.

September 1, 2010 3:21 pm at 3:21 pm #1194466blinkyParticipantOh no! I think vanilla is outnumbered by chocholate mint chip!!! We’ll have to recount the recent flavors.
September 1, 2010 7:32 pm at 7:32 pm #1194467blinkyParticipantHere is an updated list! (Mr. 80 you seem to be like a yo-yo, you can change again to vanilla if you’d like…)
Chcolate mint chip-6
Vanilla-5
Pistachio-3
Cookie dough-3
Cookies and cream-4
Coffee-2
Chocolate-2
September 1, 2010 8:31 pm at 8:31 pm #1194468A Woman Outside BrooklynParticipantMint Chocolate Chip. Runner ups include anything mocha, cookies and cream.
One of the chief advantages of being Outside of Brooklyn is that it puts one in closer proximity to Max & Minas. BTW, they do have CY, but they don’t do the interesting flavors in CY.

September 2, 2010 11:53 pm at 11:53 pm #1194470Sister BearMemberI’ve got to change my favorite to Ben and Jerry’s Cookies n Cream!!!11 It is by far the best ice cream (and therapy) someone could ask for!!!!
September 3, 2010 5:32 am at 5:32 am #1194471bein_hasdorimParticipant1 scoop Vanilla, 1 scoop coffee, & 1 scoop Peanut butter,
actually banana was pretty way back when they used to make it good, not with the fake yellow color & taste.
February 1, 2011 2:01 pm at 2:01 pm #1194472☕ DaasYochid ☕ParticipantI used to like chocolate the best, until I tasted the dead skunk delight. Yum! Thanks for the idea, Mr.80!
BTW, hunting for the skunk was almost as much fun as eating the ice cream.
February 1, 2011 2:33 pm at 2:33 pm #1194473always hereParticipantused to be chocolate all the way for me; now it’s coffee or cherry vanilla 🙂
February 1, 2011 3:12 pm at 3:12 pm #1194474✡onegoalâ„¢ParticipantBefore I was Chalav Yisrael (Starting Bar Mitzva I decided to keep it) It was probably Bryers Twix or Snickers but now that I’m CY It’s Kliens coffee. YUMYUMYUM!
