I want to hear what the oilam has to say about the morning coffee is it better with sugar or without sugar, now if it’s with sugar is it better with regular sugar or how about a “kotzk’er tzuker”? And is it better to place the kotzk’er tzuker in the cup or to hold it in my hand and take a sip/lick….
I was also wondering if it’s recommended to add some “Livet-18” etc. to add to the #FreshDayVibes
Another major chakirah I had was is it more real with milk, and it yes do you recommend red high fat milk or something lighter?
Please let me know, and hashem should help that we should have the best coffeeDecember 12, 2018 6:57 pm at 6:57 pm #1643434👑RebYidd23ParticipantPour over (because it’s the easiest way to make coffee), light to medium roast, moderate amount of mundane sugar, “blue” milk. That is the one true morning coffee.
December 12, 2018 6:57 pm at 6:57 pm #1643441MilhouseParticipantIn the morning.
December 12, 2018 6:58 pm at 6:58 pm #1643442GadolhadorahParticipantIf you are drinking coffee for any reason other than you love the taste of coffee in the AM than it really doesn’t matter. You can find a gazillion brands of “flavored coffee”, 14 brands of cholov yisroel, and add enough sugar to compete with Ungarishe gefilte fish. Otherwise, buy really GOOD fresh coffee beans, store them correctly and grind them just before brewing. If you need the morning buzz, than just pop a few caffeine tablets with your cocoa puffs after davening.
December 12, 2018 7:23 pm at 7:23 pm #1643452👑RebYidd23ParticipantCoffee doesn’t have to be perfect to taste good.
December 12, 2018 7:23 pm at 7:23 pm #1643454Uncle BenParticipantActually I recall we had a rather extensive coffee thread a while back.
But since you ask; lighter roast when I need more caffeine, darker when I need less. No sugar (so one can actually taste the coffee), red milk if no cream or half & half is available.
A vareme geshmake Shachris to all.December 12, 2018 7:23 pm at 7:23 pm #1643458jakobParticipantCoffee is not what gives you the real caffeine for the day to keep you awake neither is it a good night sleep that keep you awake by day. Your strength comes directly from Hashem “Boruch hanosein layoef coach” don’t let your corrupt psychological mind (yetzer hara) fool you
December 12, 2018 8:41 pm at 8:41 pm #1643501apushatayidParticipantIf you need an artificial boost, skip the coffee, drink a 5 hour energy.
December 12, 2018 10:26 pm at 10:26 pm #1643556👑RebYidd23ParticipantJakob, there is no truer caffeine than that found in coffee.
December 12, 2018 11:42 pm at 11:42 pm #1643578Non PoliticalParticipant1- 1-1/2 teaspoon of decent instant coffee, 1 teaspoon of sugar, (cocoa optional), add just enough hot water to stir and desove the above, add cold milk to the top.
PROTEIN – CALCIUM – ENERGY* – REFRESHING* I personally don’t use caffeinated coffee more then 2-3 times per week. Not interested in building up a tolerance / addiction to the stuff. Decaf works great on the other days.

That’s an oxymoron
December 13, 2018 8:10 am at 8:10 am #1643841Avi KParticipantThe best way to drink it is with a cup.

December 13, 2018 10:54 am at 10:54 am #1644033MilhouseParticipantSeriously, the purpose of milk in coffee is to dissolve the bitter oils, which are not soluble in water. Therefore using low- or non-fat milk defeats the purpose.
December 13, 2018 4:12 pm at 4:12 pm #1644287👑RebYidd23ParticipantLow fat milk contains fat.
December 14, 2018 3:04 pm at 3:04 pm #1644873yaakov doeParticipantWith your mouthof course. Is there any other way?
December 14, 2018 3:07 pm at 3:07 pm #1644871yid18ParticipantFor the freshest and best tasting coffee pay a visit to 1982 Coffee Roasters at 5405 13th Ave. Brooklyn,
They have a very large selection of freshly ground coffee. They have many types of lattees, also fresh salads
and sandwiches.
I go there every week and enjoy a good lunch.
The atmosphere is very pleasant with good service.December 18, 2018 1:48 pm at 1:48 pm #1646736Navi ShekerParticipantdoes the coffee post-taanis count as a morning coffee?
What if you just woke up?
Is the meal called breakfast? Must i also eat lunch and supperDecember 18, 2018 2:35 pm at 2:35 pm #1646767LogicyidParticipantUncle Ben
Agree!! Red milk, only if half and half or cream is not available. But not too much, you want to taste the coffee.
No. Blue. Milk. Ever. This craze started in the 80’s, please make it go away.
No sugar, agree again what is the point then you cannot taste the coffee (unless you have sub par coffee or instant). Light/dark roast depending on personal preference.
Sensitive to headaches: wean off before a fast or have a good dark organic decaf but only until fast is over.December 18, 2018 2:48 pm at 2:48 pm #1646803Avram in MDParticipantThis morning? Before alos hashachar.
December 18, 2018 5:39 pm at 5:39 pm #1647426👑RebYidd23ParticipantIf you put anything other than a dash of salt in your coffee, you can no longer entirely taste the coffee.
December 18, 2018 6:03 pm at 6:03 pm #1647440oyyoyyoyParticipantwith a cigarette
