I’d like to be smart, confident, and to truly value myself. Whatever career I’d choose, and there would be many, it would be driven by my choices, and not my fears, as both my marriage and my current career were chosen by.

The mods moderate posts. They do not make new coffee rooms.

    I’m also not convinced you’re a girl

About half of all people are female, so if she says she is, she probably is.

    RebYidd23:

Not when her supposed gender is integral to her trolling efforts.

Also, do girls use the word “leshem” much, as in “I’m doing X leshem Y?”

    #1045045

When I grow up I want to be…

    young again.

The girls I know use that word a lot. But I don’t know many girls.

I don’t use that word at all!

I think when I grow up all I’m asking is to be somewhat sane, have Hashem with me, and love and accept myself.

Perhaps use of that word is simply unrelated to gender.

I don’t have a problem “talking” to girls on the cr because it’s all annonymous so I can never meet anyone or something like that via the cr

I can’t help with growing younger, but if you want to not grow older, just take a chililug pill (it has to be done in the dark) and say:

“Pretty little chililug, I don’t want to get bug.”

Make sure you don’t say “big” instead of “bug”.

I’m surprised that Google has only six unique results for “chililug pill.”

If you do it without the quotation marks you’ll get more results. But it matters not. Those six results should be more than enough to get my reference. Although I wonder if anyone got it without googling it.

As it turns out, more people use “pills” than “pill” in the phrase.

I actually only came across one of the books recently (it wasn’t that one), and wasn’t impressed. I wonder if Popa’s read them? 🙂

If you had read them when you were 10 (correct me if I’m wrong in assuming that you are currently older than 10) you might have been more impressed.

And regarding Popa, he didn’t read them. He wrote them.

I always wanted to be a doctor. But that’s not a profession for a frum girl, especially a really shtark one. Everyone told me instead to do PT, OT, ST, and of course – PA. They said PA would be perfect! Less school, you do the same things as a dcotor, and you have more time for family – my imaginary family because I wasn’t even married at the time. But l’chalchila, it would be best would be if I didn’t even go to college. Going to college would taint my neshama in certain ways, and my children just won’t be the same. And maybe I wouldn’t get as good of a zivug because my ruchniyus would definitely take a blow – even – of I didn’t see it.

How vulnerable we are in our youth. Not that there is anything wrong with any of the professions above, but if you davka want to be a doctor, those won’t cut it.

Well, be”h, I will be starting medical school this August.

    Pediatrician.

PAA: When I was about seven and I read that book I refused to say it because I was sick and tired of being a little kid.

When I reread it last year I found myself whispering it under my breath and I was mortified. 🙂

I’ve said it dozens of times. I wonder if it works even without the pill.

The main character is clearly named after him and is very Popa-esque.
