There’s something about each of us that makes us unique. Now let’s not get all humble, cuz it’s important to know your weaknesses- but so much more important to know your strengths and in what way you are special. So, what makes YOU unique?
My humility.
Good question. I have thought about this before. I guess the unique thing about me is that I have never seen anyone else as average as I am! I don’t mean that in a bad way – but it is true. Meaning, I’m not smart, not dumb. Not overly talented, but don’t lack talents any more than the next person. Not pretty, not ugly etc etc. Just middle-of-the road for everything. I think that’s pretty unusual.
I try to stay upbeat. Try to make others too.
BTW – that doesn’t contradict what I said in a previous post. I do think I have talents that I haven’t used to my full potential. And it goes hand in hand with this. Coz I am in an extremely talented class, ba”h, I always feel really inferior to my far-more-talented classmates. I often think, “Why should I ______(sing/dance/write etc.) if ______ is so much better than me?” I feel guilty coz I don’t use my talents – but I am too scared to use them when I know others can do a better job.
I’ve been told I give really good compliments..
I like making others feel good, and I try to go out of my way to do so.
I also write poetry, I dunno how good it is though.
Shopping – yes from your posts I get the feeling that you seem to really think about what you say. You try to “keep the peace” – make sure that people aren’t degraded, insulted etc. I don’t think I have ever seen you post something mean. And your Rosh Hashana poem was really enjoyed by CR members!! 🙂
Thanks, I am a very strong believer that there is no freason not to have peace, seeing we are all mature adults and can compromise….
Didn’t you say once that you are sixteen? Or maybe I was just reading a really old thread…?
But good on you for promoting peace, which unfortunately there is far from enough of in the world…
