What would you say is your favorite Yaakov Shwekey song and why?
You can give more then one answer.
Here’s mine: Mehaira! I like all of Yitzy Waldner’s song, but for some reason I love Mehaira. I really can’t explain it!
i basically like all his songs but the song i really like now is “cry no more” its just an awesome song and why bec they are just very good songs
I love love his song “Memekomecha” not sure how to spell it slow heart wrentching that was put out in the cd that had light green on it
racheim was my favorite when it came out. Everyone loved it, and EVERYone was singing it. Then, about a month later it was totally over-used and getting kinda’ old. A month after that it was starting to get annoying, like “ok, enough already!”. Anyone who used that niggun in shul after that would get a Klap and a ban from davening for the Amud like forever! Now, our gabbai uses a BB gun on anyone who dares…..
Otherwise, I like Im Eshkocheich Yerusholayim, and Mama Rochel. I haven’t bought ‘Cry no more’ yet, but it sounds really nice.
I’m maskim to BaalHabooze! Cry No More is my favorite. Then for my chasuna I want to use his intro to Amar R’Akiva. If you listen to it, it’s a masterpiece! I can tell that he took more voice lesson since Ma Ma Ma because he sounds more powerful now but was always able to go high>>>

I always know everything about everyone. How they wear their hair and what company their shoes are. But I’ve never heard of “Mimkomcho” For once I feel out of the loop. Can someone tell me if it’s fast or slow? The lyrics? Keys? Octaves? Music sheets? tones?

It’s slow, and as mentioned it’s on the Ad Bli Dai album. It’s really gorgeous.
I loooove Mama Rochel, but I don’t consider it a Shwekey song. That’s a Journeys song.
I like Ilan Ilan, Mimkomcho, and Vehi Sheamda.
Mine is Vehi Sheomdah.
Don’t even know where to start, too many favorites… but i would have to say Mehaira…
