Other than plan to run for mayor what is it the public advocate actually does?
He is a tax and spend and social leftist of the worst kind.
If he knew what he did. he’d tell us. AFAIK he occupies a very expensive and comfortable chair in a city office building.
Public advocate is a relic from the Old Board of Estimate which ran the city until the 1980’s when it was delcared unconstituional. It was called the president of the City Council and was quite powerful
Today the job is basically a position if something happens to the Mayor , the public advocate is next in line.
There are proposals to eliminate the position

He does everything a normal person does. Gets up, showers, eats breakfast, actually most normal people don’t have time for that today, so I’m not sure about if he does. Davens, goes to work, or pretends to, checks out ywn, answers some chats in the coffee room, goes out to buy coffee, gets lost for three hours…. ya know, just the regulars

I agree with @to be or not to be. The horses are part of the park. U can’t just remove them. They’re used to this environment, i don’t think it bothers them, they probably get more attention than their cousin horses
So he wants to take away equine employment?
