I hear it all the time. At some areas more than others. What do they mean? Different tones, patterns, length, bpm, bps (beeps per minute, per second) etc.. (when I’m driving I hear it CONSTANTLY behind me, why?)
you are probably not moving fast enough, but beep just means get out of the way, you almost crashed into me, be careful, move faster, or did it by accident or anything when either someone beeps at you or you beep at someone.
I thought you were replacing a swear word with beep. What does @#%$ mean?
I thought it meant “Helloooooo waaaaaake uuuuuup”

it means ‘get out of the way’.. especially when its behind you..and depending how fast you move you get bps!
Gee, ZeesKite, i don’t know what it means either, but tonight everyone coming in my direction was beeping me. EVERYONE! An’ there must have been 100’s of ’em! I couldn’t understand it, I mean, didn’t they KNOW it was a 1-Way Highway?????
My problem with beeps are on voice mails. They tell us “at the sounds of the beep” to leave a message. I am not quick enough and always leave a message after the beep. Then I have to go back to leave a very very quick message at the beep. I can barely get a word in edgewise. Impossible!

Jothar, my friend. Do you mean by frequency how often? Or the hertz (Hz). I never know with you…lol
maybe you should take a hearing test, constant ringing or beep may be a sign of hearing problems.

According to my school bus driver it means, “Stop texting and move on! Fancy schmantzy BMW, and she can’t drive!” (with a southern accent for emphasis).
