Doesn’t he technically already keep the 7 Mitzvos b’nei Noach? I know one of them is not to kill, but he hasn’t actually killed any Jews; he just supports those that do.
He eats live shrimp, so he isn’t keeping the 7. And worships avoda zora (yushke). Besides, a goy only gets credited for keeping the 7 if he does so consciously with the specific intent to keep them.
Why is he living in Washington? Is that what presidents do after leaving office?
I thought xianity was not avoda zara for a goy, but I’m not 100% sure. Also, there’s a difference between different types of xianity. Catolicism is very different than Protestantism. Even within Protestantism, there are different types. I know a giyoris who used to be a minister. She told me that in her religious they didn’t believe that yushka was a god.
But again, I’m not sure what the halacha is for a goy regarding avoda zara.
And I didn’t realize about the live shrimp. (gross!)

Geordie613: The Obama family is living in Washington after January 20 to enable one of the daughters to finish her school year. Thereafter, he has said the family will live in Chicago. As for former presidents living in Washington, since Eisenhower, I know that every former president has left Washington at an early opportunity. I believe their retirement homes were located as follows:
Eisenhower – Gettysburg, PA
LBJ – His ranch in TX
Nixon – Northern New Jersey.
Ford – Southern California
Carter – Plaines, GA
Reagan – His ranch in So. Cal.
GHW Bush – Florida and Kennebunkport, ME
Clinton – Chappaqua, NY
GW Bush – Crawford, TX, then Dallas, TX.
Thank you huju. That’s very interesting. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but when I think of the Clintons, Little Rock, Arkansas comes to mind. Did they initially live there?
Bill lived in Arkansas; Hillary from Chicago. After living in England they moved back to the US. They probably moved to Little Rock when he was the State Attorney General.
Geordie, after Bill left the White House, the Clintons moved to NY so that Hillary could run for the Senate seat that was opening up there.
