and if you can’t vote yet who would you vote for?
August 22, 2011 1:44 pm at 1:44 pm #807555HachamMemberHow could anyone consider someone who wears a yarmulka while parading in the toeiva parade while proudly waving the toeiva rainbow flag??

How about “If you lived in their district, who whould you vote for?” Some of us feel left out by the OP 🙁
August 22, 2011 2:35 pm at 2:35 pm #807558The FrumguyParticipantCertainly Bob Turner – a true mentsch.
August 22, 2011 2:38 pm at 2:38 pm #807559zahavasdadParticipantWeprin, I have heard him speak many times. He goes to shul regularly and sends his kids to Yeshiva.
His views are basically similar to mine. People are only voting against him because of him being a democrat and his support for gay marriage

August 22, 2011 5:23 pm at 5:23 pm #807561☕️coffee addictParticipantsee i’ve only been in NY for a month and I’m already acting like a NYer
August 22, 2011 6:05 pm at 6:05 pm #807562TheGoqParticipantI’m voting for Turner main reason being is he’s a republican.
August 22, 2011 6:50 pm at 6:50 pm #807563cucumberMemberhow can u vote for a democrat these days? we need republicans against obama!!!! as long as they r decent human beings- which turner certainly seems to be- we should be voting them in.
August 22, 2011 8:01 pm at 8:01 pm #807564A23ParticipantWeprin, because he’s a Democrat.
August 22, 2011 8:16 pm at 8:16 pm #807565TheGoqParticipantTurner winning would be a big boosha for the President that is reason enough.
August 22, 2011 8:24 pm at 8:24 pm #807567charliehallParticipantI live in NY-17, not NY-09, so I don’t get a vote in this election. But I’d vote for Weprin. Those who claim to support Israel need to think about how the US will be able to help Israel in the future if it doesn’t have much of a military any more, which is what will happen if the Tea Party-inspired budget cut triggers take effect. Turner seems clueless about this problem. He also won’t commit to preserving Medicare.
August 22, 2011 11:25 pm at 11:25 pm #807568☕️coffee addictParticipantcharlie,
and you’re happy with him voting for gay rights and saying it’s not a jewish issue
I’m voting for turner because 1) I’m a republican 2)it’s a big boosha if something happens scandal wise (I think people commented about Weiner being jewish after his scandal)

September 8, 2011 10:13 pm at 10:13 pm #807572deiyezoogerMember“People are only voting against him because of him being a democrat and his support for gay marriage “
Those two reasons are good enough to convince me. (but I don’t live in NY9 so my opinion dosen’t count).

September 9, 2011 2:51 pm at 2:51 pm #807580Feif UnParticipantWeprin should have promised funding to yeshivos. Then all the Rabbis would have endorsed him.
