Anyone have experience shopping on Strollers.com? Is it a valid, safe website, and how was your experience?
June 28, 2011 11:32 pm at 11:32 pm #786902minyan galMemberAnd I will ask the same question about a different website. Has anyone used 1800wheelchair.com? I need to buy a lightweight walker and their prices are amazing. They also have a Canadian site and ship most of their Canadian orders directly from Canada, therefore there are no extra duties or taxes. They also advertise free shipping even though their prices are so much lower than any other site including Amazon and WalMart for the same product.

June 29, 2011 5:12 am at 5:12 am #786904smartcookieMemberThanks Qwerty. I was just wondering if you have experience with purchasing from this site or you only checked if the site is secure? The site seems secure to me and I placed an order. However, my order will take about a month to process and that got me concerned. I began wondering if they’re safe.
June 29, 2011 1:32 pm at 1:32 pm #7869052qwertyParticipantsc,
They are part of csn network. I’ve ordered from this network before but not from this particular site. They are very cheap but don’t always have everything in stock.

June 30, 2011 5:04 am at 5:04 am #7869072qwertyParticipantcsn business model is similar to amazon they work with highly specialized wholesalers so they may earn little per item but they sell in big quantities.
its a big company and there is no reason not to trust them.
June 30, 2011 8:30 am at 8:30 am #786908kapustaParticipantSometimes (often?) sites will have a “hechsher” on the bottom with the rating and/or approval that checks if the site is legit.
July 19, 2011 12:42 am at 12:42 am #786909smartcookieMemberOk, here goes my problem:
I placed an order with CSN(strollers.com) 5 weeks ago. I got a confirmation that the order will arrive on or before 7/18/11.
When I didn’t receive shipping confirmation today, I called them to find out that “they’re not sure why they didn’t inform me, but they won’t have my stroller in stock for about another month or so.”
I’m so annoyed. I’m waiting for this stroller for weeks and I really need it. I can cancel here and reorder on a different site for more money, but if I’m paying full price after all, I could’ve gotten it weeks ago from any site.
I want to hear if there’s anything I can do with this order before I go ahead and cancel. Legally, do they HAVE to send me the order by 7/18? Can I do anything about it at all?
July 19, 2011 12:52 am at 12:52 am #786910DroidMemberYes, you can legally cancel since they did not deliver it by the date they originally gave you when you ordered. They are required to refund you. If they give you any difficulties, simply contact your credit card issuer and request to dispute the transaction and issue a “charge-back” to the merchant. Tell them they failed to deliver by the promised date.
July 19, 2011 12:53 am at 12:53 am #786911kapustaParticipantSometimes a major company will match a price. If you wind up canceling and ordering somewhere else, check for that option.
Good luck
July 19, 2011 1:16 am at 1:16 am #786912smartcookieMemberDroid- they’ll cancel my order and issue a refund without a problem.
My question is if I can make them send me my order anyway, since their price is lowest. I’m waiting 5 weeks for it and I’m very disappointed.
July 19, 2011 1:33 am at 1:33 am #786913DroidMemberI don’t know how you can make them send it any faster if they don’t have it in stock. Really, your only options are to cancel (which you are entitled to do) or wait them out — and try hocking them to rush it (if that might work).
