Kasha:
I’ll take a look.
Thanks.
September 2, 2010 3:29 pm at 3:29 pm #694433mddMemberSJSinNYC, I am sorry, but you are wrong. we are not talking about modern Ivrit usage, or what someone claims the Ivrit usage is. We are talking about what is meant when frum people use it (this is how it is also used by the Poskim). When frum people call a woman in a short skirt “a prutsa”, they do not mean “a zonah”. It is true, however, that sometimes one is talking about a zonah, but feels it is more eidel to say “prutsa”. But again, nobody means it like that in regard to frum women who are not dressed properly.

it is included in the Halachah that a woman must be tznius, which includes all sorts of behaviors that one must use your Daas Torah to determine.
why do you need a written source for particular detail of tznius?
do you have a source for why six-inch high heels are not tznius?
you know what tznius is
you know why skin-tight clothing in a woman is not tznius
im not about to state it here.
your insistence on a source is as silly as could be.
only in todays immoral degenerate climate could you ask such a question
lok in Rabbi Falks book if you wish a source.

Thanks.

I don’t know what kind of schools you attended, but if you really did listen carefully (as you say you did), I should hope you heard the constant and never ending speeches about the problems of shells and their tight-fitted clinging…

Excellent. I was waiting for someone to say this.
As I have said before, there are multiple aspects of Tznius, including Ervah and Hirrhur. Tight clothing does not fall under Ervah, rather Hirrhur.
Therefore, we need do make a judgement call as per what will cause hirrhur and what will not. You (as the wearer or husband) are probably Nogaiah B’Davar, so ask your Rav (who should be more impartial).
