We owe a lot of hakaras hatov to all veterans Jewish and non-Jewish who have served our country so that we could enjoy its freedoms.
I personally think there ought to be a law tht nobody can run for president without having served in the military. How can someone be a commander in chief when he has not even gone through basic training or know anything about what it is like to be a soldier?
