chance -“Why don’t you check the National cancer institute website, on formaldehyde and cancer. They clearly state that formaldehyde is causing several cancers including leukemia. Well , you child get formaldehyde injected into them every time they get a vaccine, do you wonder why so many children have cancer?”
Now since when does 1 + 1 = 3? You make up your own conclusions and then you want people to take you seriously?
Unfortunately you are influencing others with your wacked out theories.
This is from Children’s Hospital of Phila’s website:
“The average quantity of formaldehyde to which a young infant could be exposed at one time may be as high as 0.2 mg (see table below). This quantity of formaldehyde is considered to be safe for two reasons:
First, formaldehyde is essential in human metabolism and is required for the synthesis of DNA and amino acids (the building blocks of protein). Therefore, all humans have detectable quantities of natural formaldehyde in their circulation (about 2.5 ug of formaldehyde per ml of blood). Assuming an average weight of a 2-month-old of 5 kg and an average blood volume of 85 ml per kg, the total quantity of formaldehyde found in an infant’s circulation would be about 1.1 mg, a value at least five-fold greater than that to which an infant would be exposed in vaccines.
Second, quantities of formaldehyde at least 600 fold greater than that contained in vaccines have been given safely to animals.”

Furthermore I think it should be regarded as a legitamate view that vaccines are dangerous, since as I said before there are MD’s who are wary of them.
I also strongly feel that it is disrespectful to question the motives or scientific background of these Dr’s simply because they have a view that is different then your’s.
I think the world would be a better place if we were more tolerant and open minded of those with views other then our own.
Of course I personally strictly vax at all ages day and night and everything in between. I just feel that we should be more tolerant.
On a related not this applies to Chareidi Halacha as well where everybody with Semicha and a beard and Kippah should be viewed as legitimate with the ability to Halachicly argue with Gedolei Yisroel such as Rav Chaim Kanievsky shlita and Rav Shteinman shlita.
And of course I mean this in all seriousness since I am fully Chareidi with a beard, seforim and all (I even have a facebook page!)

On this previous part your apology is warranted.
“and your children should not be taken away from you.”
No, you are wrong because she is much worse than the regular person who doesn’t vaccinate. The regular person who doesn’t give shots is because they are ignorant, which in our community can be corrected by education, possibly through Rabbonim. But the amount of research this person has put in should know better. She looked at all the research, but still she twists the truth to her agenda. Such a person is a danger to her children and others who might believe her.

Ok, before you continue with your whole post – name MD’s that are anti-vaccines and have absolutely No bias!
June 20, 2013 5:34 pm at 5:34 pm #963012yacr85ParticipantI love all these ‘naturals’ on here who bow down to ‘natural’ medicine and reject conventional medicine.
I’m sure that if someone has a heart attack, they will be calling a ‘herbal ambulance’
or
“Oh no, I’ve chopped my leg off with this chainsaw!”
“Don’t worry about it, I have some herbs you can sprinkle on it”
!!!!!!!!!!!
Its all baloney!
June 20, 2013 6:17 pm at 6:17 pm #963013frumnotyeshivishParticipantHealth: I suppose what we disagree with is the threshold for the extreme act of taking children away from parents.
In this case, if the only abuse of the children is not vaccinating, an easier solution than taking away the children permanently would be to just take them away for 20 minutes, vaccinate them, and give them back.
There is no evidence of any other abuse or neglect besides not vaccinating.

Come’ on you obviously did’nt get the point of my post!

Well there was a discussion in a popular school whether or not students should be allowed in even though they aren’t vaacinated. The board was willing to hear both sides from the doctors who are pro the vaacine and against it. Interestingly enough only the doctors pro the vaccine were there. (as heard from my boss)

If you read my post I was talking only about this poster who has magical thinking, not other parents who don’t vaccinate.
When you have magical thinking -you put your kids’ lives on the line. To give an example, if the parents who can’t think straight see their kid Ch’vs semi-consious, they will say “Oh, the kid is just sleeping funny” and Not seek emergency care. If you think I’m being absurd, as you know I’m in the medical field (whether you believe it or not), and awhile ago I saw a MD do exactly that. He saw a child semi-conscious and asked the parent if the child always sleeps like that. Needless to say, there wasn’t a good outcome. If I could have done something at that time, I would have, but I was just an innocent bystander.

Actually, you missed my point! There aren’t any real medical professionals that are against vaccinations. The few ones that are, with real medical degrees, is because they are bias in some way. So stop with -“It’s a Machlokes”. Even if there would be a real Machlokes, Rov say to vaccinate!
July 2, 2013 1:40 pm at 1:40 pm #963018miritchkaMemberDid anyone else see the article last week in teh yated (probably in the hamodia too) from doctors encouraging/reminding parents to give their children their vaccines? i hope their explanations were enough for those thick-headed parents who dont vaccinate.
