As a kid in cheder parsha Vayechi we would memorize the “Va’ani”
This was the passuk of Yaakov describing his burying of Rachel incorporating Rashi’s pirsuh.
“Va’ani in ich Yaakov Chutch afilu ich bin dir matriach mit main kevira…”
I beleive the Beis Yehuda and meshivas nefesh chumashim included this in their teitch.
does anybody know what is so special about this passuk? why this was emphasised? (besides mesora)

Please, please sign in, wise men of the CR, and tell us where the beautiful Minhag of teitching the passuk “Va’Ani” together with the Rashi in that warm niggun originated.
(And in case you’ll want to ask me the same question you asked Queen, -no, I didn’t learn it in Bais Yakov. But I remember it from other little boys, and some big ones.)
Talking about Rashi, many or most Chasidishe girls don’t learn Rashi since it is ??????? ????????? ???? and the Chasidishe poskim, including the Satmar Rebbe, psaken that it isn’t permitted to teach them. (VaYoel Moshe, Maamar Loshon Hakodesh, ch. 33 & in the 3rd part of Vayoel Moshe – “Maamar Loshon Hakodesh” – based on a teshuva that the Satmar Rebbe ZT’L wrote to Rav Pinchos Hirshprung ZT’L of Montreal).

Of course I’m sure you realize that there must be many Rabbonim, poskim and Talmidei Chachamim who disagree. As Rashi is in fact taught to a large number of girls in schools affiliated with a lot of different Kehillos.
I would be interested to hear from someone who attended Rav Hirshprung’s Bais Yaakov in Montreal. I’m quite sure they also study Rashi and other mefarshim.
But first- The Answer to the OP’s Question, please!
Besides for Satmar All or most chasidishe girls schools do learn Rashi.
