at least they admitted they have it some people would not even addmit that i left my camera in a frum store which has camera all over there store they wouldnt give me the time of day and didnt care one bit

It still astonishes me when someone wants to be compensated for doing the right thing, as in the situation with your wife’s phone. It is a sad statement.
I left an expensive baby blanket in a car service once. I’ve used the company many times and never had an issue. One day I “lucked” out with a dishonest driver. The next time I saw him I mentioned the blanket and he admitted finding it. He gave me a bogus cell number to call to remind him to bring it to work. I never saw the blanket or him again. Pathetic.
