hi, what is someone to do when they are being laid off and going to be unemployed? starting from the first day on – what kind of goverment assistance can you apply for, and what places would be best to check for classifieds, help wanted ads, etc… looking forward to the oilems advice.
The first thing you do is apply for unemployment.
the jewish press is well known for their classifieds, also check luach.com
the OU, the Agudah, Young Israel, depending on where you live your community may have have employment assistance-ex. Teaneck has local organization.
check with social services as to what you may be eligible for.
