Is udiapers.com a scam?
many Lakewood residents used this tempting offer maybe u can post it?
I recently received a email from a friend about a website called udiapers.com and was told that there is a sale if you enter promo code 2011 your whole order is 50% off, I would like to know have you ordered and received your order? Because I heard it might be a scam. A friend of mine was double billed by them for a purchase he made. a couple of pepole i know had their cards charged twice or more
There are a lot of red flags; there is no address. They do not give you a tracking number. And prices are just too low! I Google map searched them and I got a park in Williamsburg. SMELLS FISHY!
i heard a guy in lakewood ordered 10 grand worth of stuff!

January 18, 2011 4:01 am at 4:01 am #730117smartcookieMemberAnyone who shops online without first checking if the site is secure, is very foolish.
January 18, 2011 4:43 am at 4:43 am #730118GetzelParticipantanother email i just recieved;
Please do not order from this website. I know that many people have heard about their 50% off deal and many people are ordering.
I just spoke with Bugaboo and was told that they are not a legitimate website and you shouldn’t order from them.
If you placed an ordered please monitor your credit card transactions.
January 18, 2011 4:47 am at 4:47 am #730119GetzelParticipantConveniently, the deal is only for today but customer service is closed for Martin Luther Kings Day.
This is the phone number on their website: 1.888.429.0444
I called and it did not say anything about reaching udiapers.com – it sounded like a personal cell phone number. The message said “Richinwat is not available at the moment. Sending you to voicemail”

UDiapers.com – 400 Park Avenue,NY, Ph: (646) 464-1812.”
January 18, 2011 5:11 am at 5:11 am #730124smartcookieMemberOh my! This recording sounds so fake. Call the # and listen.

This and the boiler plate website makes it look like a home based business. I have no idea regarding its legitimacy.
January 18, 2011 9:56 am at 9:56 am #730126ERosenMemberI bought my stroller from them, and my cousins did, too.
Does that mean my CC will be charged and my order won’t arrive? Or it just means I will get my order but I should make sure my CC isn’t charged twice?
Thanks!
January 18, 2011 3:01 pm at 3:01 pm #730127GetzelParticipantso far we have not heard anyone recieve their stuff! so you will have to contact your credit card and report fraud
January 18, 2011 4:16 pm at 4:16 pm #730128tbgMemberI did a search for udiapers.com reviews and came up with this. http://auctions.overstock.com/Stokke-XPLORY-2010/Miscellaneous/item/46272556
It seems like this same person may have tried selling items on an overstocks site. It says that the account is inactive.
January 18, 2011 4:58 pm at 4:58 pm #730129apushatayidParticipantFrom another website (sitejabber.com)
I bought a car seat for my son, and not even 24 hours later I got a call from my credit card company asking about a huge purchase I made. After talking with the people at udiapers .com (over email… no one would answer the phone, or call me back) They “accidentally” charged my CC for $950. I’m in the process of fighting them for my money. I’ve cancelled my CC. PLEASE NO ONE EVER ORDER FROM THIS SITE!!!!! TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW. No one should have to have $1400 taken from them and not a thing to show for it.
January 18, 2011 4:58 pm at 4:58 pm #730130ontheballMemberThe following message is on the udiapers website now:
ALL ORDERS PLACED WITH PROMO CODE
PLEASE ALLOW 24-48 hrs FOR A FULL REFUND
Everyone should probably cancel their credit cards-if it is a fraud site-they have everyones credit card numbers.

January 18, 2011 5:14 pm at 5:14 pm #730132YW Moderator-80Memberi went to the website. it looked like a typical scam site. with seals of approval of unheard of agencies.
the little picture of a young woman with headphones on and smiling is typical as well.
went to resellerratings. (always check unknown stores here). they had no information at all, which is very unusual for a trustworthy website, even if fairly new.
January 18, 2011 6:47 pm at 6:47 pm #730133smartcookieMemberI cant believe people actually shop online without verifying the site first. Open your eyes everybody!!!
January 18, 2011 6:49 pm at 6:49 pm #730134ERosenMemberYeah they canceled everyone’s orders, including mine.
I am so disappointed since I really wanted the baby jogger and it was finally affordable…
Does anyone know how I can get the Citi mini at a really good price???
January 18, 2011 7:11 pm at 7:11 pm #730135aries2756ParticipantAnyone that charges your credit card before an item is shipped is illegitimate. Call your credit card company and notify them immediately that you did not receive your order.
January 18, 2011 8:15 pm at 8:15 pm #730136SJSinNYCMemberErosen, check Craigs List and buy a used one.
January 18, 2011 8:24 pm at 8:24 pm #730137ontheballMemberThey didn’t charge the credit cards-only put a hold on it. The scam was to obtain all the credit card numbers….

Sorry, but our Auto-Joseph detector seems to be malfunctioning. Rather than deleting the entire post, it seems to have deleted random words. We hope to fix this as soon as we have nothing else of importance to do. In the meantime, due realize that all Joseph posts have been altered from how he originally submitted them
January 19, 2011 9:28 pm at 9:28 pm #730146YW Moderator-42ModeratorI am not a buki in halacha but I’m sure someone who is can come up with a situation that it “legal genaiva”.
Unfortunately, there are many people who think that there is “muttar genaiva” or “illegal yet muttar”. We don’t promote that on Yeshiva World although some people might think it is Yeshivish to pull shtick, we believe that if it is illegal than it is probably assur (and if not than it probably shouldn’t be publicized online anyway)

January 19, 2011 10:58 pm at 10:58 pm #730149tbgMemberI just cancelled my credit card. Better safe than sorry. The cc company told me they can’t cancel the charge for the items that I bought because the transaction is pending. But at least they don’t have access to my credit card number anymore.
January 20, 2011 12:08 am at 12:08 am #730150thinking and thinkingMemberModerator 42, for the sake of K’vod Shamayim, so that no more sins are committed, please enlighten me as to what may have been illegal or genaiva regarding my post?
January 20, 2011 1:18 am at 1:18 am #730151Bed-StuyParticipantthinking – he overreacted. Even if he was correct, it would have at worst been breach of contract, not what he alleged. The libel caused the customer to cancel his credit card though.
January 20, 2011 1:49 am at 1:49 am #730152thinking and thinkingMemberBed-stuy, thanks, I had a different post up last night about amazon, which was removed. If the policy is to remove all links, fine, but why accuse me of illegal activity??
