MAKE COPIES OF THIS PAGE AND PASTE IT IN ALL SHULS, OR WHERE EVER GIRLS, WOMEN (MEN ALSO) WILL READ IT.
TZNIUS IS OUR PRIDE AND GLORY!
The Torah states:
???????? ?????? ??????
Holy You Should Be!
By wearing immodest clothing we distance the Shechina (Divine Presence) from us.
As the Torah states:
??? ???? ?? ???? ??? ??? ??????
Immodesty should not be seen amongst you!
Or Hashem will withdraw his presence from you!
When the Shechina departs, we are stripped of our protection ?”?
Maybe this is why so many tzoros, illness, crushing poverty and unbearable tragedies, have befallen us.
In the words of the Holy Chofetz Chaim tzl in a famous letter:
To a large degree this despicable style negates the statement of the Torah:
Tight-fitting, short, flashy clothing, low cut necklines, long extravagant sheitels, etc. are contrary to Tznius standards,
Dear Sisters!
Let us wear clothes that are befitting for Jewish Daughters. This will cause the Shechina to reside in our midst. This will bring many blessings upon ourselves, and ultimately bring the Geulah Sheleima ??”?
????? ???? ??????? ?????? ?????! The key to our salvation is in your hands!

I have already printed out many copies and posted it for public consumption.
August 15, 2008 4:36 pm at 4:36 pm #620545JosephParticipantIt is still summer and this message is very poignant.
August 15, 2008 5:44 pm at 5:44 pm #620546postsemgirlMemberJoseph what does this have to do with summer? We need to fix the tznius problem all year around. Tznius is not just dress.
August 15, 2008 6:01 pm at 6:01 pm #620547zisheMemberA famous (female) lecturer once told me that she has had many tamidos over the years who went from wearing pants, etc. to full yeshivishe woman garb, due in large part to her classes. What does she do? She never, ever, mentions tznius or that people aren’t keepin it. She focuses on a woman’s job and role as an akeres habayis, the center of her children’s and her family’s life, and her connection to Hashem and to yiddishkeit. When people hear the beauty of this messae, they naturally want to act the role that they realize they are filling.
August 15, 2008 10:08 pm at 10:08 pm #620548JosephParticipantpostsemgirl, I agree with you 100%. But this poster addresses dress, which unfortunately tends to be a bigger problem in the summer. I’ve seen this sign up in many bungalow colonies.
August 17, 2008 3:03 am at 3:03 am #620549DocParticipantThis is a beautiful (and much needed) message.
August 18, 2008 6:16 pm at 6:16 pm #620550BogenParticipantIf the CHOFETZ CHAIM already saw the tznius problem in his time, uch un vay how much worse it is today!

August 18, 2008 11:48 pm at 11:48 pm #620552ujmParticipantcherrybim,
My sincere apologies that you find the Chofetz Chaim’s take on tznius objectionable.
August 19, 2008 12:33 am at 12:33 am #620553chachomParticipantcherry, i’ve noticed you engage in very questionable behavior. i would be very wary of your presence.
August 19, 2008 4:51 am at 4:51 am #620554cherrybimParticipantHalavai, you would learn from the Chofetz Chaim of his sensitivity and love of klal yisroel, and his approach concerning tznius.
According to Chazal, unless you know how to give musser, it’s best not to.

August 20, 2008 3:47 am at 3:47 am #620556ujmParticipantcherrybim,
the evidence is in the pudding. just skim thru your comment history.
Is motzi shem rah something YOU have an exemption from?
August 20, 2008 2:22 pm at 2:22 pm #620557cherrybimParticipantUJM, just like I said.
August 20, 2008 5:17 pm at 5:17 pm #620558yoshiMemberIt’s difficult for people to take a good look at themselves and work on their own issues. That is why they take the EASY way out, by finding anyone they think is at fault to judge and criticize them.
August 20, 2008 5:35 pm at 5:35 pm #620559cherrybimParticipantUJM, If you can’t originate, don’t imitate.
August 21, 2008 12:45 pm at 12:45 pm #620560saythatagainMemberI know first hand of several cases with tragic irreversable outcome. I don’t know that ujm and chachom’s references are I am relativly new here.
Why do you get so upset about hearing words of caution said to protect unsuspecting victims?
In a BY school I taught in, they brought a police detective to speak to the girls about internet safty. (In this school they understand that the reality is that the girls are on-line anyways, might as well educate them to be safe) One of the things he spoke about was preditors- they are real and they are out there.
It’s no joke.
August 21, 2008 3:21 pm at 3:21 pm #620562cherrybimParticipantSaythatagain is another voice of sanity.
August 21, 2008 3:27 pm at 3:27 pm #620563ujmParticipantsaythatagain, were not teens here. and cherrybim has a very sordid and checkered history behind him. if any police detective investigations are needed around here, cherrybim will be suspect number one. perhaps because you are new here you are lucky enough to not be familiar with it.
August 21, 2008 3:35 pm at 3:35 pm #620564bas kolParticipantPosting such a sign in shuls and other places..sadly, does it serve the purpose??
Is there no way of promoting Tznius in a POSITIVE way, instead of constant admonition?? It’s human nature not to be receptive to negativity…
August 21, 2008 7:17 pm at 7:17 pm #620565saythatagainMemberujm- I am not talking about teens I am talking about married men and women!
I don’t know cherrybin from before, but what he is saying here is true and a real danger. Using the internet is something which needs to be done with care- even for us adults!
by the way who says only frum people or jewish people read this sight, anyone anywhere could log in and giving out personal info is not smart.
