So you think only Biden has a ‘2-state solution’.
Well someone wrote into a Jewish newspaper and reminded us of the following:The previous Trump administration called for an Arab state in Yehudah, Shomron, and Gaza – which would have left 20 Jewish communities totally surrounded and isolated. His plan also called for two large pockets of land in the Negev region to be given to the Arabs. Finally, the horrific ‘gas fields’ agreement with Lebanon…was based on a map designed by the Trump team, which called for Israel to forfeit large areas of its territorial waters.
So much for Trump being such a wonderful friend of Israel !

but i agree that we cant rely on trump deliver everything the jews want nor should he. He’s still certainly better than the alternative.
December 1, 2024 12:15 pm at 12:15 pm #2336851Neville Chaimberlin Lo MesParticipantNot to defend Trump at all, but admitting to being against the “two state solution” is one of the most politically incorrect things a person can possibly say. Obviously, it’s a dumb idea that only a few ivory tower liberals here and there actually support, but we all have to publicly pretend to support it.
December 1, 2024 11:53 pm at 11:53 pm #2336869Always_Ask_QuestionsParticipantyechiell is a good indicator of qualities of Bibi, Trump, and everyone else he does not like. The more far-fetched his accusation more, the better that person is doing. Do you not see the whole world blooming after the election? Stock market is up, hezbollah surrendered, Russian ruble falling, Ukraine publicly agrees to a reasonable peace plan (that is, based on T’s stated position it is either quick peace or full support of UKR if Russia disagrees), Syria and Georgia rebelled against pro-Iran/pro-Russian governments, all 2 months before the elections.
December 1, 2024 11:54 pm at 11:54 pm #2336888ujmParticipantTrump isn’t 100 times better than the Democrats on Israel, he’s 100,000 times better. He’s even far better than other Republicans on Israel, and almost any Republican is better than almost any Democrat on Israel.
December 1, 2024 11:54 pm at 11:54 pm #2336889akupermaParticipantThe alternative to a two state solution is for Israel to cease being a democratic state (either by killing the Palestinians or not allowing a large part of them to vote). Either would alienate public opinion in the United States. validate the WOKE anti-Semitism, and probably lead to US-supported sanctions against the zionists. Also note that in a single state solution, only complete unity of Jewish voters (i.e. a coalition of everything from the Haredi parties through what’s left of MAPAM and MAKI, including the openly anti-religious parties) would allow for Jewish control of Eretz Yisrael.
The difference between parties as most of the Democrats oppose the idea of a Jewish state, and are willing to support groups such as Hamas knowing their plan is also a “single state solution” (to be implemented “from the river to the sea” by killing all the Jews in Eretz Yisrael).

December 1, 2024 11:54 pm at 11:54 pm #2336933keithParticipant1- do you have an link? President trump was president for four years and the most pro Israel president in the history of the United States based on his actions not his words. I could list many of the accomplishments but it’s a long list and we all know them.
2- you are of course well known as a democrat that opposes everything conservatives do so … I take it with a grain of salt.
December 2, 2024 8:08 am at 8:08 am #2336984Kelly_KarlaParticipantWhile it’s true that the Trump administration proposed a plan that was controversial for many reasons, including some that seemed to undermine Israel’s security, it’s also important to recognize that it had other elements in support of Israel, like recognizing Jerusalem as its capital and moving the U.S. embassy there. However, when discussing the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the notion of a ‘two-state solution’, the nuances are complex, and there have been multiple proposals from various administrations. It’s essential to critically assess all perspectives, even those that seem favorable, as the reality on the ground involves much more than just political rhetoric.
December 2, 2024 12:40 pm at 12:40 pm #2337031yechiellParticipantJust to set the record straight : I’m not a Democrat . I just hate that one putz, known as Trump. I would have gladly voted for Nikki Haley or Chris Christie, but it was not to be.
Hopefully America will one day wake up, and ship Trump off to some remote island, where he’ll be heard to mutter to himself that famous Napolionic palindrome “able was I ere I saw Elba”.December 2, 2024 12:40 pm at 12:40 pm #2337043Dr. PepperParticipantI voted for President Trump (three times) and I was equally horrified at the two-state solution he proposed.
Only after the Palestinians rejected the deal did I realize the brilliance of his proposal.
President Trump, with his sky high IQ, proposed a deal that was so biased against Israel and biased towards the Palestinians knowing full well that even so, the Palestinians would reject it. This showed any sane person in the world who the real enemy of peace is.
December 2, 2024 3:13 pm at 3:13 pm #23373872scentsParticipantDr. Pepper
Kushner details this idea in his book. They wanted to prove that the Palestinians don’t want a solution. They want to continue being victims. It’s how they further their agendas, get money from all over, and enrich themselves.
It helped others on the fence realize the true nature of the situation.
December 2, 2024 10:51 pm at 10:51 pm #2337467Neville Chaimberlin Lo MesParticipant“The alternative to a two state solution is for Israel to cease being a democratic state (either by killing the Palestinians or not allowing a large part of them to vote).”
Stop being a drama queen. There’s no “two state solution” right now and Israel isn’t having to “cease being a democracy” or start committing genocide (contrary to leftist claims).
The status quo is far more manageable than a two state solution would be. Most regular people are fine admitting that there is no “solution.” The problem will always be there; it’s just about managing it and continuing winning militaristically. They will always want to kill us all. It’s a core tenet of their religion.
