For anyone who isn’t participating in the other thread, here’s a true story.

Once I was at the dog park wearing a black shirt with my hair down. My dog was running around. Later I see him running up to a young lady also wearing a black shirt with similar looking hair as mine. He kinda bumps her from behind. It felt like watching in slow mo.

She turns around and then he freaks out! Jumps back. And I’m like so amused as I call his name. Finally he finds me!

Do you remember back in the day when you were out with your mom or dad or whoever and suddenly lost him/her? Then following some stranger only to discover it isn’t your person?

    Those were the days 😄

    Thanks! ☺

That’s a benefit for anyone who calls his or her parent by another less common name like Mom or Dad in another language.

It is so much easier to call out Ema in America than in Israel. Then again supposedly moms (and dads) know their kid’s voice for sure. Even screams. Still it gets overwhelming having to compete with Emas in Israel.

Maybe it is harder when you live in a community where everyone speaks the other language, even though it’s technically a foreign language.

    Yepp yepp thanks ☺

A cat would never make that mistake.

A cat also would have never survived the dog park
