Wow it’s been a while since I posted! I’m hopefully coming to New York next week and have few issues that some of you may be able to answer. First of all, I’m flying into Laguardia. Is there a bus or something that can take me to Lakewood or Monsey? Assuming I end up in Lakewood or Monsey for a night, are there any fairly cheap hotels I can stay in? Are there any busses that go from Lakewood to Monsey and vice versa? If so how often do the run? Thanks in advance if you can answer any or all of these questions!
Between Monsey and Lakewood twice a day there is the Rockshire for $20. I don’t know if the CR will let me post the number. When you call the number it gives you the times for the day. In Lakewood it stops at the Capital Hotel. If the CR lets I will post the number for you.
If you onegoal are just coming to NYC for a short while, how about staying in Manhattan near all the tourist sites? There is a lot more to see in Manhattan than in both Lakewood & Monsey combined.
2012 surpassed 52 Million tourists to NYC, and you could already add to 2013 # of tourists. Let Bloomberg spend his time on boosting tourist #’s and keep away from MBP attacks.
Hi onegoal and welcome back, you can catch the 139 bus from Port Authority to Lakewood they usually run every half hour, the bus usually leaves from gate 321 there are ticket machines a little further down from there and across the way there are several subways that stop at 42nd st/Port Authority, I’m not sure how you get from Laguardia to Port Authority.
Sorry 147, but Manhattan is awful, overcrowded and pricey. Plus he’s probably seeing family in monsey & lakewood, or just wants “heimish” surroundings. Is Bloomberg paying you for steering tourists his way?
