Here are my thoughts on the Trayvon Martin story:
1. Definitely a tragedy.
2. Another story which the democrats and main steam media turn into a racist incident.
3. Another opportunity for the racist Al Sharpton to get his face on television and spew hatred.
4. Another opportunity for our brilliant president to go off the teleprompter and stick his foot in his mouth. “If I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon”. Would he also have been suspended for drugs, and for spraying obscene grafitti?
5. Another opportunity for the left wing media to ignore the facts.
Zimmerman is hispanic, not white. He is a registered democrat, not republican. He tutored under privileged black kids for free.
A witness has said the Trayvon was attacking Zimmerman, and Zimmerman was calling for help, not Trayvon.
I am not saying Zimmerman is innocent, but some intellectual honesty would be appreciated.
The NY Times after learning that Zimmerman was Hispanic, not white, it calls him a white hispanic- a term that is NEVER used- except when you are trying to say its a racist incident.
March 28, 2012 8:40 pm at 8:40 pm #863431yungerman1ParticipantObama’s Deputy Campaign Manager is blaming Republicans for politicizing this tragedy. Seriously??!!
March 28, 2012 9:30 pm at 9:30 pm #863432tajikpashutMemberThe democrats ran out of cannon fodder so they’re fighting themselves.bout time.
March 29, 2012 1:34 am at 1:34 am #863433TheGoqParticipantI dont like how they used a 5 year old picture of this “sweet smiling kid” hello? what does he look like now? why are there no recent pictures maybe because in all recent pictures he looks like a thug, he was on suspension from school for marijuana possession and this wasnt his first suspension i think it is a tragedy but this kid was hardly an angel, that being said zimmerman was told to back off by the police and he did not that is very disconcerting.
March 29, 2012 1:58 am at 1:58 am #863434MorahRachMemberAgreed.it is so frustrating watching the mainstream media crucify Zimmerman this way. If this was a hate crime which I do not believe it was, then he should be prosecuted to the full extent. But looking at the facts I just don’t buy it. The eye witness gave their statement the night of the shooting, it is not as though they came out last week and said what they saw. Zimmerman gave his statement that night as well and the police report said eye witness statement corroborated his statement. Yes Martin has on him only candy and a drink, that has nothing to do with it. Zimmerman had a legal gun. The eye witness saw him being beaten on the ground. Police report him having a bloodied face , broken nose, and contusion on the back of his head. If I had a legal gun on me for whatever reason and I felt I was face to face with danger and being hurt I would not hesitate to protect myself.
March 29, 2012 2:15 am at 2:15 am #863435HealthParticipantyungerman1 – Sorry -as I’m watching this case unfold it seems this is much worse than you’re making it. I’ve just read media trying to say the report of Zimmerman being injured is a fabrication. This is called Tofalnu Sheker. If a good portion of the country, maybe even half, do Not believe in the rule of law this is a very serious situation. One race Can’t be above e/o else when it comes to our laws. Speculation that it wasn’t self-defense without any evidence is becoming the fact here. Soon this fact will be used to lynch this guy Zimmerman. If this guy is prosecuted without any real evidence -this spells the end of freedom in America. We deserve it for following what’s PC – no matter what the logic dictates. Soon the US will be just like any 3rd world country – terrorism will be the least of our worries.
March 29, 2012 2:27 am at 2:27 am #863436akupermaParticipantThe only facts not in disupte are that Zimmerman shot an unarmed person, after phoning the police, and that the Democrats have decided this is an issue to mobilize their African American base.
It could turn out that Zimmerman freaked out and fired needlessly,or it could turn out this is like Duke “rape” (ended with the DA getting disbarred) or some of Al Sharpton’s previous fanatasies.
March 29, 2012 2:31 am at 2:31 am #863437zahavasdadParticipantIt was a police survelance camera that showed Zimmerman arriving at the police station without any of the injuries that he claimed

Yes, that’s exactly what I was talking about. The police report says he received treatment on the scene and did not require further treatment after that -so why would you expect to see anything later at the police station? And the bruise to the back of his head would not be visible on a video, unless it was a close-up, colored shot that was taken.
March 29, 2012 3:00 am at 3:00 am #863439apushatayidParticipantThe fact is, nobody knows the facts. Until then, it is all speculation.
March 29, 2012 6:04 am at 6:04 am #863440BSDMemberThe Goq-“I dont like how they used a 5 year old picture of this “sweet smiling kid” hello?”
Why not level the playing field and post a picture of Zimmerman as a toddler?
March 29, 2012 1:29 pm at 1:29 pm #863441Shticky GuyParticipantBSD Maybe they are finding it difficult to find a picture of a white hispanic toddler
March 29, 2012 1:38 pm at 1:38 pm #863442yungerman1ParticipantHealth- Agreed. Its amazing how quickly the Sharptons of this world rush to judgement and scream racism. I am NOT saying Zimmerman is innocnet or that he is not a racist.
I would love to hear someone condemn the Black Panthers for offering a 10K award for Zimmerman dead or alive. Why is that even legal? But there is no chance anything will happen to them, similar to the voter intimidation scheme in 2008.
There is just no intellectual honesty with these people. Its sickening and frightening how many people blindly follow whatever they say.
March 29, 2012 1:55 pm at 1:55 pm #863443TheGoqParticipantI guess they just created a whole new race whispanics.
March 29, 2012 2:38 pm at 2:38 pm #863444TheGoqParticipantAnd i guess that makes the President a Blite (blight)
March 29, 2012 3:58 pm at 3:58 pm #863445anewyorkerParticipantdoes anyone feel that his last name being zimmerman (jewish) and not something like rodriguez is a factor here ?
March 29, 2012 4:17 pm at 4:17 pm #863446HealthParticipantyungerman1 -“Health- Agreed. Its amazing how quickly the Sharptons of this world rush to judgement and scream racism.”
If it was just Sharpton -it wouldn’t be so bad. He is known that his Parnassa is a race biter. It’s half the country including the President. And not only them, but so many posters here have said the same thing. It’s just pathetic.
“I am NOT saying Zimmerman is innocnet or that he is not a racist.”
That is exactly the point -noone right now can possibly know. If some new evidence comes to light then he can be proven to be guilty or a racist. But as of right now -he is innocent until Proven guilty.
After reading the news today – I feel this man will be prosecuted and found guilty just to please the Mob. The family of the teen and their lawyer are calling it a conspiracy. Why is it a conspiracy? They say because the police report says he had physical damage on him at the time and then you don’t see anything on the video later at the police station. They want you to conclude without coming out and saying it -So it must be that the police on the scene decided -ok -it’s an African -American let’s lie and say it was self-defense.
It’s not possible that he was treated at the scene & didn’t require further care, right?
This is like saying a guy comes into the ER but afterwards he looks fine -so it must be there was nothing wrong with him from the git-go.
The problem is so many people buy into this conspiracy theory.
This reminds me of another conspiracy theory that lots of people bought into -the OJ trial. And he got off scot free from the murder of two people. And almost e/o knows he was really guilty.
But our laws prevent s/o from being tried again for the same crime. This law should be amended to protect the innocent, not to protect the guilty. So why don’t they? This would prevent terrible
miscarriages of justice like in the OJ case? I truly believe because our Gov. is so full of Gaivah that they won’t ammend it because this would tell the world our justice & jury system is falliable!
March 29, 2012 5:11 pm at 5:11 pm #863447MorahRachMemberHe is NOT Jewish but agreed I’m sure MANY people are assumin he is. I don’t even think he is guilty of anything but still stinks that he sounds so Jewish.
March 29, 2012 6:11 pm at 6:11 pm #863448MorahRachMemberHow about the fact that last week or the week before a 17 year ok black boy/man shot and killed two homo sexual men when they were on vacation and stumbled into the wrong part of own. This is nowhere to be found I found a glimpse of it on Fox buried not front page. If the 2 men had been black and the 17 year old a white male oh boy. I’m so sick of this country and the way it has become so hostile.

March 30, 2012 4:31 am at 4:31 am #863452mexipalParticipantWe’ve known for a long time already, the media is just another leftist propaganda machine. Honest reporting, truth, and facts are relics of the past. (Except for YWN, of course)
March 30, 2012 4:32 pm at 4:32 pm #863453HealthParticipantmexipal – So true. The world is so upside down -nowadays you can find more truth in papers like the Enquirer, the Star, the Globe, etc., than places like CNN & et al!
