It took me a while to figure out how to do it but I found a hint on this thread.
Syag – It doesn’t work for all SNs. It doesn’t work for me, for example (although it did when I first signed up). Something to do with having signed up through the main page versus the Coffee Room page… Also, the mods don’t like it because people have used it to make mischief.
What worked? (other than you CAPS LOCK button)

Here is the sad face for you to copy in your posts ?. Getting it into your display name is harder and I thought that is what you were trying to do.

Thanks. I think we should have a button to change the background color of posts that are side conversations. Then people can just skip over them, or eavesdrop, if you will.
