In today’s gas crisis, and indeed for anytime, let us all share tips on how to use less gas when driving.
Some things that come to mind:
Drive at 65 MPH on the highway. If I recall, this is the optimal speed; faster or slower uses more gas. Can anyone confirm the accuracy of the optimal MPH?
Drive at a consistent rate/speed for city (or highway) driving.
Shut off your motor if stopping for more than one minute. (Is one minute indeed the maximum time that you use less gas leaving the motor running rather than shutting and restarting it?)
Please share additional tips.
