hey at least i got you to smile a couple of times… 😉
April 19, 2009 5:02 am at 5:02 am #656638kapustaParticipantI have news for you, I’m a very smiley type of person, but you did and I appreciate it very much. Check out the humor thread, I’ll post the first thing that got me to smile tonight.
April 19, 2009 7:48 am at 7:48 am #656640JaxMemberJoseph: you have me LOL so hard! wow well done joe, your really bad!
April 19, 2009 8:19 am at 8:19 am #656642JaxMemberthat was supposed to be back!
April 19, 2009 9:00 am at 9:00 am #656643moish01Memberjoseph, crocks in shul?? how could you – that’s not mechubadick! plus, it’s not yeshivish. and a yeshiva bochur always has to be dressed b’kovod.
now don’t tell me you wear crocks in shul… and don’t tell me you daven at home. i’m not mekabel loshon hora for either one…
just by the way – crocks and a black hat?? what a combination!
April 19, 2009 12:19 pm at 12:19 pm #656644charlie brownMemberhow about a new thread: “Davening in a black hat and crocks with a minyan in Chuck E Cheese and discussing the pro-freikeit commentators while giving mussar about tznius, goyish music, cholov akum and zionism.” I think that covers every topic discussed thus far here in the CR.
Joseph, you did have me LOLing that time. The old sarcastic Joe is back!
Moish, I didn’t mean stocking shelves as a derogatory suggestion, sorry. If its beneath you pick some other job that you can do at least part time.
April 19, 2009 4:16 pm at 4:16 pm #656645moish01Memberi can’t think of anything. any job i’ll do would require either an education or at least completing high school and being serious. i don’t have any of those three going for me.
April 19, 2009 4:24 pm at 4:24 pm #656646April 19, 2009 4:30 pm at 4:30 pm #656649an open bookParticipantmoish: if you hear of any jobs for teenagers that’s not babysitting/being a counselor, let me know! i need one!
April 19, 2009 4:30 pm at 4:30 pm #656650moish01Memberyeah “K” for kapusta 😉
April 19, 2009 4:32 pm at 4:32 pm #656651moish01MemberAOB, you can stock shelves 😉
April 19, 2009 4:35 pm at 4:35 pm #656652an open bookParticipantmoish: does that mean you don’t want encouragement?
April 19, 2009 4:41 pm at 4:41 pm #656653kapustaParticipantthat one gets a real LOL, and after last night, (when you, and Jax, and AOB put me in a better mood), I was woken up this morning (middle of the night for me) by not my favorite person to be woken up by barging into my room… thanx!
April 19, 2009 4:44 pm at 4:44 pm #656654kapustaParticipantplus I think I’m starting to get a cold from sleeping with an open window (not that it did me any good)for the past two nights…and I’m roasting here…
April 19, 2009 4:50 pm at 4:50 pm #656655moish01Memberencouragement??
April 19, 2009 4:53 pm at 4:53 pm #656656an open bookParticipantmoish: yeah thanks 😉
April 19, 2009 5:57 pm at 5:57 pm #656659JaxMembermoish: how about taking a lifeguard course or something like that? that way you could maybe finish by the summer & get a lifeguard job! plus a lifeguard certificate is good for 3 years, so really good!
April 19, 2009 5:58 pm at 5:58 pm #656660an open bookParticipantmoish: you deleted your post – what? not in the mood of a lecture from kapusta? 😉
April 19, 2009 6:33 pm at 6:33 pm #656661moish01Memberhey jax that’s a pretty cool idea. maybe. thanks!
AOB, not form her or you or anyone else.
April 19, 2009 6:42 pm at 6:42 pm #656662an open bookParticipantjax: hey good idea 🙂
moish: would you consider that?
April 19, 2009 6:43 pm at 6:43 pm #656663an open bookParticipantdon’t worry. i’m not saying anything.
April 19, 2009 7:04 pm at 7:04 pm #656664JaxMembermoish & aob: thanx! i’ve been a lifeguard for years and would highly recommend it!
April 19, 2009 7:06 pm at 7:06 pm #656665moish01Memberyeah you get a tan by the end of the summer and all you do is hang out. 😉
except i have no idea where i’m gonna be in the summer. my dad claims we’re not going upstate because he hates leaving us during the week, but i have a feeling it’s because they don’t want me hanging around there. either way we’re not going this year. and they took a house in LAKEWOOD (what a DRAG!) but we’re not even sure if we’re going. we might go to Israel in august. so basically I have no idea what’s up.
April 19, 2009 7:13 pm at 7:13 pm #656666kapustaParticipantI might want to give a lecture, at least give me a chance. maybe tonight… anyone here? I just got back from the levayah. It really ticked me off that people didn’t shut off their cell phones… I need some cheering up again.
April 19, 2009 7:33 pm at 7:33 pm #656667moish01Memberwrong thread, kapusta. try general shmooze…
April 19, 2009 7:35 pm at 7:35 pm #656668an open bookParticipantmoish: ask them directly, if they don’t give specifics, maybe let them know you would consider the lifeguarding thing. they might like the idea of you having structured plans (i’m just going on general knowledge of parents here) & be more helpful & give you more information like what they think you’re doing, even if they’re not sure.
kapusta: the levaya? am i missing something here?
April 19, 2009 7:51 pm at 7:51 pm #656669April 19, 2009 7:56 pm at 7:56 pm #656671moish01Memberthey don’t know specifics. my dad has to see if he can go away in the in august. my sister and brother are both going to camp. so it’s me and the little ones. if i told them i wanted to take life-guarding they would let in a second. i’m just not so sure i actually want a job, that’s all.
April 19, 2009 8:03 pm at 8:03 pm #656672hi100Membermoish……….leave your room…..make yourself a big cold milkshake……..go outside for a few minutes…..y’know enjoy life. staying in your room the whole day and wallowing in self pity doesn’t get you anywhere, not that i want to preach to you(i’m sure you get enuf of it) but i really care about you!
April 19, 2009 8:05 pm at 8:05 pm #656673an open bookParticipantkapusta: oh right, i’m sorry.
moish: oh yeah sounds a bit like my family.
why wouldn’t you want one?
April 19, 2009 8:36 pm at 8:36 pm #656674moish01Memberthanks, hi – i’m ok.
AOB, it’s really not my dad’s type. he’s very organized and plans from a million years in advance. (that’s why i think it’s my fault – but no one’s coming out and saying it, so i’m ignoring ;))
April 19, 2009 8:39 pm at 8:39 pm #656675JaxMembermoish: you could just take a lifeguard course for fun & maybe some day use it! it’s good for 3 full years!
April 19, 2009 8:43 pm at 8:43 pm #656676an open bookParticipantmoish: that’s not the part that’s familiar…
oh, good plan 😉
& jax makes a good point.
April 19, 2009 8:43 pm at 8:43 pm #656677kapustaParticipantmoish, I think you should do the lifeguarding thing, at least take the course and tell your parents you’ll decide later, that way you keep your options open in case you decide to do it. good luck, I need some ideas too.
April 19, 2009 9:17 pm at 9:17 pm #656679hi100Membermoish: lifeguarding is the best job in any camp. every other job, for example a counselor job you’re working the whole day- and it’s hard. lifeguarding is just for a few hours a day, and then you’re free the whole night- it’s fun and you could chill!
April 19, 2009 9:43 pm at 9:43 pm #656680moish01Memberoh no way am i going to camp! first of all, they wouldn’t want me. and even if i got in i’d have to stick to all their rules. no way!
April 19, 2009 10:02 pm at 10:02 pm #656681kapustaParticipantmaybe try a hotel like chalet… or a city day camp (I know, boring…)
btw, you should apply for youth corp now through torah umesorah, you wont get anything otherwise unless you’re WSI certified.
April 19, 2009 10:08 pm at 10:08 pm #656682moish01Memberwho says i’m working? i’ll take lifeguarding for fun maybe, but why would i want to work?
by the way, notice how i tried moving this conversation to general shmooze and all it did was split into two conversations… this is way off topic – we should really move it
April 19, 2009 10:11 pm at 10:11 pm #656683JaxMemberhey lets take the lifeguarding stuff to general shmooze…don’t wanna shut the thread down!
April 19, 2009 10:11 pm at 10:11 pm #656684April 19, 2009 10:13 pm at 10:13 pm #656685an open bookParticipantha that’s funny how it split…k i’m taking my comments to general shmooze
April 21, 2009 11:34 pm at 11:34 pm #656686areivimzehlazehParticipantmoish- now that we’re in the clear, I can say I AM SO RELIEVED. Regarding you not posting in the CR I thought it was a result of too much pressure (from my posts) and you shut in your room day in and day out. I was worried sick! I’m not kidding. My imagination went wild when not knowing what was going on at your end (don’t ask). Baruch Hashem, Baruch Hashem. Keep the spirit moish. And please- next time, when you get to such a point of near explosion- TAKE A BREAK! get out a bit…
April 22, 2009 4:39 pm at 4:39 pm #656687anonymisssParticipantareivim, me too. I guess no one noticed but when moish stopped posting, I went AWOL. I was really concerned about him, too. I am sure glad he’s back!

April 22, 2009 4:55 pm at 4:55 pm #656688mepalMemberMoish, I hope you notice how you’ve got the CR wrapped around you.
April 22, 2009 6:42 pm at 6:42 pm #656689charlie brownMemberI think the heading should be changed from YWN Coffee Room to Moish’s Coffee Room. 🙂
April 22, 2009 9:21 pm at 9:21 pm #656690moish01Memberfunny.
April 22, 2009 10:10 pm at 10:10 pm #656691an open bookParticipantmepal & charlie brown: ha definitely!
April 23, 2009 6:23 am at 6:23 am #656692JaxMembercharlie brown: or how about Moish’s Milkshake Room?!!? 😉
April 23, 2009 4:57 pm at 4:57 pm #656693charlie brownMembernah, see 99 and 72’s conversation on the arcade dance machine thread – only coffee and prune juice (or was it plum juice?) are allowed. No bourbon and no milkshakes.
April 23, 2009 7:12 pm at 7:12 pm #656696YW Moderator-72ParticipantI had a request to close the thread, however, I am going to leave it open because it has potential to help many people. Let’s return back to the subject matter.
