(Or maybe you already know… If you do, please don’t post it just yet.)
Woman: Darlinggg, I’m home! ..And I brought a surprise!
Man: (in thought only) Let’s hope it’s a divorce!
W: Darling, I stopped at the hospital on the way home from work.
M: Don’t call me “darling,” OK?
W: I brought home our new baby!
M: A baby?! I don’t want a baby!
W: What shall we name him?
M: Our baby is a rabbit?!? how come we have a rabbit?!
W: He’s not a rabbit, he’s a little boy! We’ll call him “Jeffrey,” OK?
M: He looks like a rabbit to me.
W: Well, just pretend he’s a baby!
M: NO! This is idiotic! I refuse!!

November 13, 2014 10:26 pm at 10:26 pm #1042272👑RebYidd23ParticipantIt doesn’t make sense, even in context. Why would someone pretend a rabbit is a baby? Rabbits are perfect just the way they are.

November 14, 2014 5:22 pm at 5:22 pm #1042282MRS PLONYParticipantRandomex, please explain already. I know the source, but it’s painful reading all of these ‘I don’t get it’ comments.

November 16, 2014 1:10 am at 1:10 am #1042287RandomexMemberFor context, Google “Well just pretend he’s a baby” and
click on the second result (this page is first!).
If you don’t have Google access, scroll down to the
bottom of this post.
(Wow, a post from Mrs Plony! Those are rare.)
coffee addict:
Giving the source didn’t make it understandable.
(Ivory doesn’t have Internet access through a browser at all.)

It’s a strip from the comic “Calvin and Hobbes,” and
continues as follows:
Calvin: Playing “house” makes me sick! I’m leaving!
Susie: I don’t see why you’ll play pretend with your
dumb ol’ tiger, but not with Mr. Bun!
November 16, 2014 1:29 am at 1:29 am #1042288TheGoqParticipantca when was there a comic strip called sliced bread??
