I have been helping some troubled teens privately and as much as I am there for them to talk and be a support group/ a trustworthy confidant to them I feel helpless when it comes to certain things l’maaseh.
Take for example one of my bigger issues- they are in money trouble- I dont have the recourses of my own to help them out completely- what is a successful way of raising money to help them? (and no, it is not for drugs, booze etc…these kids are honestly trying to come back and build themselves up but have no family and no means of supporting themselves.)
Finding a place for them to stay. Shabbos/ Y.T meals.
I know there are organizations that help these kids but honestly they dont want them involved, if necessary I will contact them and ask for help on their behalf, but I dont know which organizations help with these things.
So plesae, if you know of a way to help me out, so i can help THEM out, I would GREATLY appreciate it.
Thanks.

There have been several studies done where when troubled people were given money, in a relatively short amount of time most were back where they started from…
New habits need to be learned & formed, a positive belief system in their own success needs to be set in place, etc.
It is very commendable that you are such a support system & trustworthy confidant. Just keep in mind not to become enmeshed nor manipulated. It may be wise for you to have a mentor/ mashpia/ supervisor, etc.
Much hatzlacha to you & them

And im very careful with manipulation, I know how they play, i;ve been around that block too many times and i play no games, and they know it!
