Anybody else find it odd that Sandy is in the news again? The place of this attack in Connecticut is called Sandy Hook.

Red Hook was one of the neighborhoods hit hard by the storm. I have no idea if any of this means anything.
Tragic events are most definitely a wake up call to do teshuvah. We have more to gain by looking in the mirror than by finding fault in others.
Wow, that is a scary thought. Especially for those of us still effected by the hurricane. Hashem must really be trying to tell us something and maybe we just didn’t get it the first time..
This is a job for a Navi. Don’t start making a gezeira shoveh of “Sandy-Sandy” and say they are connected. Ask the gedolim what this means and perhaps your local rav, who is all that we have left in the absence of Nevi’im. Now, I could be wrong, I’ll admit it right now, but I don’t think you can start assuming the 2 events are automatically connected because they share a similar name.
Look at the most recent entry on Rabbi Lazer Brody’s blog — he noticed that the gematria for Sandy in Hebrew is the same as HaSatan. I think he said he’s going to explain later more about the connection.
I didn’t think they were connected per se, just found it curious.
Sandy Hook is a Beach ismus off the coast of Northern NJ. It juts into New York Harbor. Its part of Gateway National Recreation area and contained the fort that protected NY Harbor

Are there really no coincidences?
I believe that when good or bad things happen to people, that is not a coincidence. But if I find that my daughter’s middle name and my SAT score is the same as some guy in Oklahoma, can’t that just be a coincidence?
As soon as I heard the school name SANDY hook, it rang a bell, hey Sandy again….
