Anyone learn Zohar around here? The Zohar written by the holy Tanna R’ Shimon Bar Yochai over two thousand years ago has got in it some of the most fascinating prophecies of any you might look. Also only meant to be learnt by those over forty and approved by someone chashuv, I have had a peek in the Zohar here and there and it’s very interesting (no I didn’t turn into some sort of ghost while I was learning it).

October 22, 2014 8:01 pm at 8:01 pm #1037126Little FroggieParticipantas long as my WHAT is not a female?
(and if you’re gonna settle for just anyone, anyone as silly as me, why not a female too. Maybe someone in the female division is more qualified than me, for instance)
also, do we have to bring in raw materials, as you’re probably going to do some experiments?

SDD:
None of your 35 colleagues want to?
Maybe you should’ve found out what your username meant before choosing it! Alright, I’ll tell you: Chazal tell us that there are
36 (lamed vov) hidden tzaddikim whose merit sustains the world, or something like that (possibly 36 in Eretz Yisrael and 36 in the rest of the world?).
Your username “identifies” you as one of the 36 – SDD was saying that perhaps one of the other 35 could be your chavrusa.
Little Froggie:
Your Gratuitous Russian does not appear to be part of a coherent statement.
October 23, 2014 10:52 pm at 10:52 pm #1037133tzviki16Memberhow old do you have to be to learn Zohar? I mean, there are young people who are capable and old people who are not.

October 26, 2014 4:13 pm at 4:13 pm #1037135RandomexMemberI’m sorry, LVT. First I thought maybe you really knew what your name meant before you chose it, but you forgot what your name was, but then I saw from here ( http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/coffeeroom/topic/good-usernames#post-540794 ) that it was only because you believe that a username is about something that the user isn’t that you didn’t get SDD’s joke about “your 35 colleagues,” not because you didn’t know what your name meant or forgot it.
