Are there any frum Rothschilds? I know that quite a few have intermarried and many aren’t Jewish anymore but are there any frum extensions of the family?

According to my research, none are Jewish at this point.
Rebetzin Yemima Mizrachi is a Rothschild, and IIRC her Frum uncle recently passed away in Washington Heights. (I don’t know if he has kids.) I was happy when I recently heard this tidbit in one of her shiurim, as I was also under the erroneous impression that there are no Frum Rothschild descendants.
Michoel Rothschild founder and director of the chofetz chaim foundation is frum BH.
If you are talking about the Rothschild family from Paris who control the world’s weather (as reported here recently on YWN)) the answer is probably not. If you are talking about the Rothschild family from Willy and BP, absolutely all are frum yidden and big baalei tzadakah.
Benjamin and Ariane de Rothschild of Switzerland are jewish and big supporters of Israel.
Supporting Israel has nothing to do with practicing Torah Judaism.
Benjamin de Rothschild’s mother was raised catholic.
His father wasn’t frum. Although she converted to Judaism after she was pregnant with Benjamin, there’s no evidence that it was an orthodox conversion.Mammala
Did Rebetzin Yemima Mizrachi specify which Rothschild family she was from? Because I can’t trace her father to the Mayer amschelYitchokm: sorry I tried retracing the info I remembered and I was partially wrong.
All she mentioned was about her uncle Rav Johnathon Rothschild’s from Washington Heights levaye in a Pre-Purim Shiur this year. After that I researched a bit, and some interviews /bios online mention her father being from Switzerland and a “scion of the famous Rothschild Family” without mentioning the words banking. That’s how the seeds were planted in my head…
So I couldn’t vouch for it, although it was worded to imply that she was from THE ROTHSCHILD FAMILY.
Bear in mind that there are thousands of Meir Anschel descendants, and not all are in the online wiki pages etc.
Yitzchokm, there is no evidence that her conversion was not Orthodox.

Okay: so I guess the articles I read (Hidabroot comes to mind) about Reb. Yemima Mizrachi were misleading. Sigh…
And neither are the Chasidic Rothschilds.

Incidentally, Benjamin De Rothschild and his wife (she’s not Jewish and didn’t convert either) have four daughters. So nobody in that family is Jewish.
If only they tried to uphold their ancestral Yiddishkeit at least as much as they try to maintain the Rothschild fortune and reputation of integrity in business.

As I said, none of the Rothschilds today Jewish according to my research. Let alone, frum.
Reb Johnny Rothschild from WH was not a descendant of Asher Anshel and neither is tblch”t his niece Yemima Mizrachi. It is bla”h a large frum family with many descendants who are talmidei chachamim and עוסקים בצרכי צבור באמונהץ. @Mammel, we b”H have plenty of Yidden who are devoted shomrei torah umitvos. It would be a huge mistake to start admitting half baked גרים. We already have issue with גרים returning to the previous lives and making a mess – and more importantly it would be against halacha.
It’s very unlikely that a frum person who got married in 1770 and had ten children like Meyer Amschel Rothschild did has no frum descendants at all but from his five sons who went into banking it is safe to say that none of their descendants are frum. Therefore if he has he has frum descendants they would be from his other five children who have no money .
Of interesting note the only major Rothschild scion to have been killed by the Nazis during the holocaust for being Jewish wasn’t actually Jewish. Élisabeth de Rothschild was a Catholic woman who married Philippe de Rothschild. (she officially converted)
