So did I, and the “Suffolk” one, too.

I was writing quickly and forgot to acknowlege it – sorry.

Hallel has even more if you count all the “amein”s – ve’hamayvin yovin (OK, corny).

BTW, you must be great at crossword puzzles – you got most of the answers on quite a wide variety of topics.

    Just an Optical Illusion

    In colors I’m various

    A cameleon in change;

    Through stars, crowns and diamonds

    I take a wide range:

    Then, leaving the treasures

    Of nobles and kings,

    I turn me to flowers,

    And humbler things.

    I’m uniform always

    And that you’ll think strange;

    For one so capricious,

    An instant will change.

    What am I?

Pac man I’ve read thru your riddle several times but cant work it out.

    Here’s a word one:

There is an English word that is nine letters long. It is possible to remove all the letters one by one (not necessarily in order) and each time to still be left with an English word, right down to a single letter.

What is the word and what are the words that it becomes as you remove the letters?

    #1069563

    Startling.

    Odd One out

    Which word doesn’t belong? Why?

    Pains

    Rain

    Enemy

    Clergy

    (from a calendar)

    #1069577

im sure this isnt the answer on the calendar but all of them except rain have to do with living entities

    #1069578

i find this type of riddle aggavating because i dont know if it involves the meaning of the words or the structure of the words. i dont like to spend time analyzing one whereas the answer might lie in the other.

    #1069579

how about pains rain and clergy refer to broad concepts that have individual parts but enemy is singular

    #1069580

    Moderator-80-

I can’t give any hint, but once someone gets the answer they will be sure of it. (it isn’t living vs. non-living objects – it’s simple enough that overanalyzing will steer you on the wrong track.)

This isn’t one of my “unfair” ones…
