So I’m not saying this on my own, I’m just repeating what I heard from a reliable person who heard it straight from Rav Avraham Schorr.
In short, Rav Schorr said that the recent tragedies came about because of nivel peh. He brought a bunch of proofs to prove that. He said that if we don’t learn from the tragedies they just get bigger. Rav Schorr also said that the whole incident with Leiby came about because kids are talking with nivel peh.
And the recent death of Rabbanim was because of the way people talk about Rabbanim.
Gedolim can tell us the reason for a tragedy.
