What do you attribute the rise in pro Palestinian sentiments on college campuses to?

Lack of donkeys. Donkeys are considered noble beasts, hard working. A symbol often identified with Bnei Torah.

American universities are full of thorough bred horses, who are serious “full of themselves” and seriously pampered, but incapable of thought or action. Good for showing off, but not much more.

Ignorance plus the old story, Eisav soneh L’Yaakov. Mix in the lack of police presence in all major cities and you have your answer.

A concerted effort on the part of the Islamic movement to infiltrate other communities. Ideologies can easily be spread in classrooms.

It begins with hatred towards Israel for fabricated injustices towards to so called “underdog”. They squash any possibility of countering those accusations by loudly and sometimes violently protesting those speakers. Then, that hatred is expanded to the entire Jewish community. Then, democracy is blamed for supporting their allies who perpetrated these fabricated injustices. They’re taking advantage of the one weakness of the desire to be just: a confusion as to who is the victim. They’re telling a story that gullible, ill-informed people are falling for, who then support a movement bent on controlling them ultimately.

It’s also a symbol identified with yishmael “עם הדומה לחמור”

They might be hard working (like talmidei chachamim) but they’re also stupid (like college students)

    QUESTION:
What do you attribute the rise in pro Palestinian sentiments on college campuses to?

ANSWER: The Mainstream News Media (MSM) does not
really care about reporting facts. Their highest priority is
to turn the public against Israel, by any means possible.

    (Especially The New York Times.
Buying The New York Times is as sinful as eating pork on Yom Kippur).

This is accomplished by selectively omitting facts that make Israel look good.
This is accomplished by selectively omitting facts that make Muslims look bad.

This is accomplished by immediately accepting what Muslims say as 100% true,
with zero fact-checking, even when the Muslims are bloodthirsty terrorists.

If Hamas said that the world is flat, and Israel is to blame for flattening it,
then almost 100% of the Mainstream News Media would immediately
accept that statement as 100% true, with no fact-checking, and without
talking to any pro-Israel person, who might disagree with that statement.

More reasons why colleges and universities favor Muslims:

Muslim nations have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to
colleges and universities, especially Middle East Studies departments.

Most professors in colleges and universities, are Marxists and Socialists.
They are the philosophical heirs of: Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Leonid Brezhnev,
Mao Zedong, Kim Jong-il, and the Former Soviet Union [USSR], and the KGB.

Since the Socialists have always hated Jews and Israel,
the professors in colleges and universities also hate Israel.

Israel is the *** ONLY *** country in the world that is
expected to fight its enemies with ZERO CIVILIANS harmed.

This is true even when Israel’s enemies use HUMAN SHIELDS,
which makes it impossible for Israel to fight its enemies
with ZERO CIVILIANS harmed. (Which is why Hamas uses them.)

Harvard Law Professor Alan M. Dershowitz said:

“Why is Israel singled out for super-scrutiny
and double-standard criticism, expected to maintain
a level of moral behavior not demanded of anyone else?”

    ====================================
Harvard Law Professor Alan M. Dershowitz said:

“There is yet a third strain of the current virus of anti-Semitism, this one even more difficult to diagnose. Its danger lies in its subtlety, its pervasiveness, and its acceptability at all levels of our society. This is a phenomenon familiar to all of us, yet difficult to articulate and expose:

the singling out of Jewish institutions and especially Israel for special scrutiny, and the application of a double-standard to Jewish things and persons.

This phenomenon, which currently has no accepted name, assumes a variety of forms, but its most obvious manifestation is the special and often gloating attention paid by the media, [and] by intellectuals, and by the government to any deviation by Israel, no matter how trivial, from the highest norms of humans rights, civility, and sacrifice.

Though Israel may be deserving of criticism, what is missing is the comparable criticism of equal or greater violations by other countries and other groups.

This constant, often legitimate criticism of Israel for every one of its deviations, when coupled with the absence of legitimate criticism of others, creates the impression currently prevalent on university campuses and in the press that Israel is among the worst rights violators in the world.

We have all heard that phrase repeated many times.
It is not true, but if it is repeated often enough, it takes on a reality of its own.”

It is clear from the sugya in the Daf this week that Am HAdomeh Lachamor is referring specifically to Eliezer Eved Avrohom and not Yishmael. Avadim and not goyim. Why this is so is beyond the limited scope for a coffeeroom comment, but it is clear that is how the gemara learns the drasha.

My Rav said in his dvar torah on the parsha that ישמעאל is עם הדומה לחמור and you have to fight with Torah which is yissachar so can you give me the source that yishmael isn’t please

    Dear Coffee,

I think colleges create a vacuum of knowledge. Those that live in this vacuum just protest everything because they are frustrated by their own lack of understanding.

Just a few years ago, all these colleges could talk about was safe spaces for their student body.

These college students have to much time. Make them work a little harder and not give so many freebies. Then they’ll be kept busy.
Today I heard about a college where one club at the college was skiing the college because a portion of the investments made by the investing group that they use to invest their endowment is coal/fossil fuels.
They’re just plain bored. And have to much free time.
