just had to publicize that i almost lost earrings worth almost $400. i accidentally wore then on YK (they are gold), so when i noticed, i took them off, wrapped them in a tissue, and put them in the plastic bag that held my machzor. When I got home, I put the machzor away and guess i forgot all about the earrings until this morning! I came out to the dining room and said to my mother “remember on YK i put my earrings in the bag…?” I didn’t have to say anymore! The look on her face told me she understood. my brother and i quickly ran out to the alley and searched through the garbage bags – PU! B”H he found them – not even in the tissue or the bag – just lying around in the garbage. I now owe him BIG TIME – he won’t let me forget it i’m sure. THANK YOU HASHEM and oh yeah – my brother too!

and i’ll bet their mother was checking the garbage bag that was still in the house. just a wild guess on my part 😉
