February 23, 2011 2:20 am at 2:20 am #745295yentingyentaParticipantI’m a teen (but almost not) and i can say, txting is addicting. even txting friends and whatever, its very easy to exchange 100 txts a day, and thats just with one person!! B”H for unlimited txting plans.
as long as the txts are appropriate, not containing L”H, or inappropriate exchanges between girls and boys, why not? if it were not for txting, i would have NO social life.
the one negative thing that i got from txting is that e/t gets abbreviated. there’s not enough room in the message to write it out whole.
February 23, 2011 2:29 am at 2:29 am #745296i said soMembertexting is really useful if someone is unavailable and need to ask someone something u can just text without starting longconversations that u cant put down and i dont abbrevaite so that is a plus i spell out everything (basically)
February 23, 2011 2:30 am at 2:30 am #745297TumsMemberor inappropriate exchanges between girls and boys
That attitude is the problem. There should be no text “exchanges” between boys and girls. That itself is “inappropriate”.
February 23, 2011 2:38 am at 2:38 am #745298yentingyentaParticipanttums: i know someone who txts a guy. 1, he’s older, 2 he’s married, 3, they talk “shop” (they are both in the medical field)
so there ARE exceptions to every rule
but in general, i agree, girls should not be txting boys
and i probably just got myself in major trouble in the CR

If boys and girls really wants to talk they could find so many other ways that texting would be no factor in this at all. Therefore it is wrong to blame it on texting.
February 23, 2011 4:49 am at 4:49 am #745304dunnoMemberI’m with Shmuel. Texting can be used for good and bad just like many other things.
