Gedolei Yisroel in Eretz Yisroel and in America have requested Klal Yisroel to say Tehilim for the President of the United States, Donald John ben Fred Trump. The Gedolim in Eretz Yisroel have themselves already been at the Kosel on this Chol Hamoed to daven for the President, who they have reminded us we owe great Hakoras Hatov too.
We need to daven that President Trump receive a complete refuah and yeshuah bkorov. That he return to fully exercising his constitutional duties as President of the United States in good health. And that he win a well deserved convincing resoundingly overwhelming victory at the ballot box on Election Day in one month and be reelected to serve another four years to make America great, help Klal Yisroel as he has done so well until now and fulfill the ratzon Hashem.

What is the use of davening for him when he endangers himself again? We should daven when healed,
Hashem should give him proper understanding to protect himself and not remove proudly his mask when returning back to the WH encouraging others to also remove it and thereby infecting each other.When did he remove his mask on his way back to the White House? I saw he had it in the whole time. It’s so funny how all the libs work. He had it on the whole time because he knew you were gonna panic if he doesn’t and he did the whole time now you say he took it off in middle. You make up so many stories. We follow Daas Torah.In fairness to the proud Repubican, he didn’t tear off the mask until he was upstairs on the veranda overlooking the south lawn. Thus, the only ones within 6 feet were the two videographers (who were wearing masks) and the SS agents inside where he then went to tape a tweet/video. Tearing off the mask at the first opportunity is the Trumpkopf’s way of demonstrating his political virility and manifesting strength. After all, only wimps wear masks and he has now “dominated” the virus. I’ll leave it to Reb Eliezer as to whether its a b’racha l’vatalah to keep davening for a fool who deliberately and repeatedly seeks to risk the health of himself and others .

The one who made a big deal about Trump taking off the mask was Chris Cuomo from CNN. Ironically, Chris was seen smoking a pipe in a restaurant shortly after having tested positive for Corona. When a passerby on the street asked him why he is not wearing a mask, he laughed him off and said that he didn’t know what he is talking about. It’s typical democrat hypocrisy

Rav Zilberstein Shlita seems to contradict himself as Trump did not adhere to regulations.
Maybe, we are not davening for him but for the leader of the free world, the US.Reb Eliezer, as quoted in the article:
“If the patient was already unhealthy even before he contracted the coronavirus and maybe he wasn’t even completely in his right mind, we have a chiyuv to daven for him despite the fact that he didn’t wear a mask.”
Maybe Rav Zilberstein is saying that Trump wasn’t in his right mind before getting sick.

Re: Tehilim for Trump.
First, it may be late to question the tehilim, they apparently worked. So you probably wouldn’t want to retract tehilim after Hashem accepted them.
2nd, President Trump did use multiple measures: frequent rapid tests for himself and others around him; social distancing for everyone else. Secret service is great at enforcing social distancing. How does the psak apply in such a case? For example, to shlimazels who wear mask on one of the two face orifices or take the mask off to talk to others.
3rd. We might have different criteria for heads of state. Jews prayed for health of various kings and emperors, many of whom were involved in pretty unhealthy activities

I think this psak should be publicized and posted everywhere … the article quotes an oral ruling. Is there a written version?
This psak may shock some people into submission. But maybe not those who already are not able to imagine things beyond their immediate perception. Can someone ask for a psak – can such pere adam be not called to the Torah, any other immediate consequences?
This thread is outdated. Trump recovered thanks to our tehillim, despite the fact that democrat news said he was in critical condition.
This is like saying people who did not run away madly from those with the flu “contributed” to their illness. It’s not like he got it from the public due to mask laxity, rather from Hope Hicks his own staffer who should have been tested more. Hope Hicks got the virus because it was downplayed by the president, so the philosiphy became, I am superman, immune and will not get it and don’t have to watch out for it.

Trump is walking around promising (or threatening) to kiss all of the men and the beautiful women at his rallies (evidently no beauty standard for the men). I’ll reserve judgment on how much he has recovered. Mike pence has resisted invoking the 25th amendment but kissing men may be the tipping point.

@se2015 Pence/kissing men – clever! this was mention by R Meir Twersky early on: politicians have their own considerations. We have to be stricter than them. Several communities and RA and Agudah has this as a rule of thumb in May – start opening up 2 weeks after local authorities say it is OK.
