I was looking to buy a sterling silver Kaara for Pesach but the prices are insanely high. I heard about sterling silver dipped products which cost much less than the real thing. Does anyone own any dipped items? Do they really look and wear like real silver?
One of the Israeli silver manufacturers has a line of “silver dipped”. ZJudging by the price and reputation of the company it has to a better quality than the cheap Chinese silverplate and one would assume that if cared for properly will look good your years.
I bought a ”fake” one and it looks every bit as good as the real ones PLUS i dont have to polish it!!!
